- It has 3 parts:
1. Guna depends on Dravya, because alone it cannot exist. It is
inherently related to Dravya. Sweetness of sugar.
2. Guna cannot possess other Guna. Dravya is the thing that possess
Guna and Karma.
3. Guna is not the essential cause for Samyoga(Conjunction) and
Vibhaga (Disjunction). This is differentiate the Guna from Karma.

- Asamavayi (non-material) cause of the first fall is the Gurutvu.
Vaisheshika Darshana proposes that whenever a substance falls
down, it is not a single act but it includes a series of falls before
the substance touches the ground. The first/paramount cause of
the fall is called as Gurutva. After the first fall > vega comes into
play > bears the falling substance for some time in the air >
ultimately touches the ground.

The specific cause of perception of the one object to be different
from another is the Pruthakatva Attribute.
It is a Guna which a specific cause to describe things as distinct or
separate. It occurs in all Dravya.
- Samyoga with another thing have Pruthakatva like water in Jug,
both of them are in state of Samyoga. But, always water is
distinct from Jug. This distinctiveness is the reason for identifying
them as different. This is called Vishesha thus Pruthakatva comes
from Vishesha.
