Mid-Autumn Festival
The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the important traditional
Chinese festivals. It falls on the 16th day of the eighth lunar
month. On that night, the moon is the brightest and fullest.
Chinese people celebrate the festival by eating moon
cakes and having dinner with their families. Children enjoy
this occasion and have fun carrying lit lanterns around.
Typical moon cakes are
round and contain fillings
such as sweetened lotus
seed paste, bean paste,
nuts, salted duck egg
yolks, ete.PS SO)
