General Introduction:

What is PUBG MOBILE Esports Hub?

Esports Hub is a portal for tournament organizers, no matter big or small, to easily apply for a
PUBG MOBILE tournament license and get the info and support needed to organize a PUBG
MOBILE tournament.

PUBG MOBILE 3rd Party Tournament Tiers:

When a tournament is submitted, it will be classified into one of four tiers based on the below
criteria:

Some tournaments may satisfy criteria from different tiers, so the categorization of a tournament
into a tier may deviate from this list.
Tournament License Guidelines:

I. APPLICATION PROCESS
All tournaments must go through the application process in order to be considered for a
tournament license. In order to apply for a tournament license, the organizer must create an
account at https://esports.pubgmobile.com/3rdparty/ first and then proceed through the
application process and provide the requisite information.

Only the tournament organizer can apply for a license; third-parties cannot apply on behalf of an
organizer unless the organizer has specifically allowed for representation.

The application includes:


● The region for which the tournament is held in (South East Asia, North & South America,
Western and Eastern Europe, MENA & AF, South Asia, Multi-regional)
● Event schedule
● Event format (Round Robin, Double Elimination, etc), including online/offline options
● The number of teams expected to register, including pro teams.
● Broadcast information, if broadcasting the event
● Prize Pool and sponsorship information

A response to the application will be provided within 14 days, and will include a tier designation
for the tournament. For approved tournaments, a page will be created that will allow you to
upload any additional assets and information for the event, and the tournament will be added to
the Esports Hub listing.

All approved tournaments are required to upload the Match ID within 36 hours of the conclusion
of the tournament.

II. Tournament Tiers


The tournament is classified into a tier during the application process, and is based on the
responses to the following attributes:

1. Organizer Nature
2. Prize Pool
3. Anticipated Participation
4. Broadcast setup
5. Geographic Scale
The tournament tier assignment provided by PUBG MOBILE Esports team at their best
judgment and some tournament tier assignments may not fulfill the requisite conditions for a
particular tier. A tournament’s tier may be reassessed after the conclusion of the tournament, at
PUBG MOBILE Esports teams’ discretion, if the performance of the tournament differs from
what was stated in the application.

III. ORGANIZER NATURE


The organizer planning the tournament is assessed in terms of professionalism and reach.

Community Tournaments

● Small LAN cafes or other similar organizations

Mini Tournaments

● Esports professional teams & organizations


● Small to medium size companies & business brands
● Big community groups

Medium Tournament

● Medium to big size companies & business brands


● Major influencers
● Tournament Platforms

● Major Esports & Event Organizers


● Esports Associations
● Major commercial brands

IV. PRIZING
The value of the total compensation pool including prizes, prize money, appearance fees and
other rewards for players or teams participating in the tournament must not exceed:

Community Tournament
1. $500 USD or regional equivalent in cash or non-cash compensation.

Mini Tournament

1. $3,000 USD or regional equivalent in cash or non-cash compensation.

Medium Tournament

1. $30,000 USD or regional equivalent in cash or non-cash compensation.

Major Tournaments

1. A minimum of $30,000 USD or regional equivalent in cash or non-cash compensation.

V. PARTICIPATION
Players are to be sorted into teams of 4 and are expected to remain in that team for the duration
of the tournament unless exceptional circumstances arise. Participation is measured by the
number of players who played at least one game in the tournament. For some tournament tiers,
Pro teams are permitted to participate.

Community Tournament

1. Amateur participants only

Mini Tournament
1. Amateur or Professional participants

Medium Tournament
2. Amateur or Professional participants

Major Tournament
1. Amateur or Professional participants

Professional participants means the team or player who’s in the roster of any PUBG MOBILE
SUPER LEAGUE (PMSL) of the year.

VI. BROADCASTING
Community Tournament

1. You may broadcast your competition online, and may stream on whichever online
platform you like, subject to the rules in the Third party events terms of use.
2. You may not charge fees of any kind for spectators to watch the competition online.
3. If you broadcast your competition online, you are responsible for ensuring that any
accompanied chat is adequately moderated to prevent vulgar, abusive, or an otherwise
mean spirited environment.
4. All other forms of broadcast (e.g., Linear television) are prohibited

Mini Tournament

1. You may broadcast your competition online, and may stream on whichever online
platform you like, subject to the rules in the Third party events terms of use.
2. You are required to provide links to the stream channel/s once the tournament has
ended if they are different from the links provided in the license application.
3. You may not charge fees of any kind for spectators to watch the competition online.
4. You are responsible for ensuring that any accompanied chat is adequately moderated to
prevent vulgar, abusive, or an otherwise mean spirited environment.
5. All other forms of broadcast (e.g., Linear television) are prohibited

Medium Tournament

1. You may broadcast your competition online, and may stream on whichever online
platform you like, subject to the rules in the Third party events terms of use.

ended if they are different from the links provided in the license application.
4. You may not charge fees of any kind for spectators to watch the competition online.
5. You are responsible for ensuring that any accompanied chat is adequately moderated to
prevent vulgar, abusive, or an otherwise mean spirited environment.
6. All other forms of broadcast (e.g., Linear television) are prohibited

VII. GEOGRAPHIC SCALE


Your Official Permit may be limited to certain geographic regions. You are responsible for
observing any limitations and conditions contained in your Official Permit or in any website links
included in or with your Official Permit. These Terms of Use do not apply to Tournaments held
in China (mainland), India, Japan and South Korea. If you would like to hold Tournaments in
those regions, please contact us separately.

For regional-scale tournaments, you may target players in one of the following regions:
• South East Asia: Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Philippine, Laos,
East Timor, Brunei, Myanmar, Cambodia, Chinese Taipei(Taiwan,China), Chinese
Hong Kong, Macau, Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, Northern Maliana Islands, Papua New
Guinea
• LATAM: Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El
Salvador, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru,
Suriname, Uruguay, Venezuela
• North America: Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Canada, Dominica,
Dominican Republic, Grenada, Haiti, Jamaica, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent
and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, USA
• Eastern Europe and Western Europe: All member countries of the EU, Iceland,
Liechtenstein, Malta, Norway, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Israel, Azerbaijan,
Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Georgia, Armenia, Moldova,
certain regions of Ukraine
• MENA/AF: All countries of the African continent, Algeria, Bahrain, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq,
Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia,
United Arab Emirates, Palestine, Yemen, Ethiopia, Sudan, and Western Sahara
• South Asia: Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives, Mongolia
• Turkey

VIII. TRADEMARKS OR AFFILIATION


Tournament Naming

1. You must not use the words “Global, Championship”, “Champions”, “Season”, “League”,
“Split”, “Pro”, “Professional”, “Division”, “Masters”, “Challengers”, “Icon”, “Cup” or any
other word which might imply that your tournament is part of an official PUBG MOBILE
esports ecosystem, in the name of your tournament.

2. You must not use any sponsored brand or product names directly in the tournament
name.
3. You must prominently note on your event or tournament’s website and terms and
conditions that the event or tournament is operated by you and is not operated by us or
KRAFTON, Inc. (“KRAFTON”) or our respective affiliates.

Logos and Trademarks

1. You can use the name “PUBG MOBILE” solely to promote your tournament.

2. Except for these PUBG MOBILE 3rd Party Tournament media assets, you must not use
the name “Tencent Games” or “Tencent”, Tencent logos, Tencent trademarks, the
intellectual property rights of the PUBG MOBILE IP owner KRAFTON, including but not
limited to KRAFTON’s copyrights, trademarks, logos, symbols, or domain names
(collectively “KRAFTON IP”), or PUBG MOBILE Esports league trademarks
(professional or amateur) to promote your tournament or tournament website or for any
other purpose.

Players and Teams Naming

1. Tournament organizers are responsible for ensuring that Gamer Tags, Team names,
and Team logos that participate in the tournament do not include any word or phrase in
any language that is offensive, toxic, or hurtful. A Gamer Tag, Team name or logo may
not include all or part of a corporate name, country name or make use of the trademarks
or other intellectual property of Proxima, PUBG MOBILE, KRAFTON, or any other third
party without prior written approval.

IX. ENTRY FEES


1. You must not charge any form of entry fee for your competition.

X. SPONSORS & PARTNERS


Sponsorship Approval

1. For all tiers of tournaments, sponsorships are allowed but it must be approved by PUBG
MOBILE Esports team in advance, including the sponsor brands, benefits, sponsored
cash/items, exposure list etc.

2. The prohibited sponsor and advertiser list:


a. Any other video game, other video game developer, or publisher
b. Any video game consoles
c. Any esport or other video game tournament, league, or event. Tier-determining factors
may vary per region. Please work with the PUBG MOBILE Office in your region to
ensure compliance.
d. Gambling, sportsbook and casinos
e. Fantasy esports operators (including daily fantasy)
f. Any prescription drugs or drugs that are not “over-the-counter” drugs including items
such as CBD oils, etc.
g. Firearms, ammunition or firearm accessories
h. Pornography or pornographic products
i. Tobacco products or paraphernalia
j. Alcohol products (including non-alcoholic beverages marketed by alcohol companies) or
other intoxicants the sale or use of which is regulated by applicable law
k. Sellers of or marketplaces for virtual items known to be counterfeit or illegal
l. Seller of or marketplaces for goods or services that violate the PUBG MOBILE Terms of
Service
m. Cryptocurrencies, or any other unregulated financial instruments or markets
n. Political campaigns or political action committees
o. Charities that endorse particular religious or political positions or are not reputable. (Red
Cross, American Cancer Society, Stand-Up to Cancer and other similar mainstream
charities would be considered reputable)

If you have any questions on the above or are unsure as to the category, you are requested to
secure express written authorization of PUBG MOBILE Esports team. We may make changes
to the prohibited sponsorship list. It is your responsibility to review the prohibited sponsorship list
for updates or changes.

XI. MERCHANDISING
You may not sell any Tencent Games, PUBG MOBILE, KRAFTON IP, PUBG MOBILE Esports
or similar branded merchandise.

XII. PUBG MOBILE’S RIGHTS TO CONTENT & AFTER REPORT


1. In consideration of PUBG MOBILE granting you the 3rd party tournament License, you
agree that we can choose to promote your competition and may use the results of your
competition to qualify players for PUBG MOBILE sponsored competitions.
2. By operating or sponsoring a competition using the 3rd party tournament License you
agree to license to PUBG MOBILE Esports team, for free and forever, any rights that
you may have in the broadcasted content, highlights, video, still content, news, and all
other content generated by the competition for us to copy, modify, distribute, or publicly
display such content, or to sublicense those rights as we see fit.

3. The event after report must be uploaded & submitted, within one month of completion of
your event, through the PUBG MOBILE Esports hub website, including the viewership
data, creative assets and key learnings etc, which listed in the after report template on
the website. Failure of submitting the after report in time, will result a 6 months ban for
applying a new PUBG MOBILE tournament license.

XIII. DO THE RIGHT THING

1. It is your responsibility (and the responsibility of any sponsors or other third


parties involved with your competition) to comply with all applicable laws and
regulations for your tournament, as well as all our policies, as may be amended
from time to time.

2. The tournament must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, as well as
all policies of any third-party service you are using to stream, operate, or
broadcast your tournament.

3. Tournament organizers and their representatives, including those hired on a paid


or voluntary nature to perform services for the tournament, may not offend the
dignity or integrity of a country, private person or group of people through
contemptuous, discriminatory or denigrating words or actions on account of race,
skin color, ethnic, national or social origin, gender, language, religion, political
opinion or any other opinion, financial status, birth or any other status, sexual
orientation or any other reason.

4. Tournament organizers shall not discriminate and prevent players from


participating in their tournaments on account of race, skin color, ethnic, national
or social origin, gender, language, religion, political opinion or any other opinion,
financial status, birth or any other status, sexual orientation or any other reason.
