1. (a) A rectangular pyramid has a base length of 24.5 cm and a breadth of


15.7 cm. If the volume of the pyramid is 1153.95 cm³, what is the height of
the pyramid?

(b) A square pyramid has a base of length 12 cm and the height of each
lateral face is 19 cm. Find the surface area of the pyramid.

2. The diagram given shows a right pyramid with a horizontal rectangular base
ABCD and vertex V. The volume of the pyramid is 324 cm³ and the area of
the base is 216 cm². Calculate the height VX of the pyramid.

3. The diagram shows a wooden spin top which is made up of a solid cone and
a solid hemisphere. The base radius and the
slant height of the solid cone are 18 mm and 30
mm respectively. The height of the wooden
spin top is 42 mm. Find
(a) the surface area, and
(b) the volume of the wooden spin top.
Give your answers correct to the nearest unit.
4. John made the figure shown in the diagram
with his wooden blocks. The figure is made up
of a cone, a cylinder, and a hemisphere. Using
the dimensions in the diagram, find
(a) the volume,

(b) the total surface area of the figure.

5. A right pyramid with a square base of side x cm and height h cm has a


volume of 3.6 cm³. If another pyramid has a square base of side 15x cm and
height of 1/3 h cm, find its volume in cm³.
