Patient admission.-
It is the formal acceptance of a patient for the installation, for your medical
care, it is important because it is the link between internal and externas
attention.
The aim is to provide security, a comfortable and controlled environment.
This process involves:
• Occupy a hospital bed.
• Maintain a medical history.
• Ensure that patient data are correct.
• Include patient data in the patient master file.
• Ensure that patients have access to healthcare benefits that they need.
Patient admission is important because
Reduces errors and complications: Accurate and complete patient
information helps prevent medical errors and complications
Improves patient experience: An efficient admission process reduces
patient and family stress and anxiety
Ensures proper care: Ensures patients receive necessary and timely medical
attention.
The main consequences of errors during patient admissions are incorrect
filling out of paperwork, failure to administer the correct medications,
disorientation of patients and incorrect diagnoses.
