Egyptian visa for European citizens

Ways to get the visa


 Through the Egyptian embassy
o Takes a lot of time to be processed, about a week or so.
o It needs a lot of money to be submitted not only at the embassy but even
after you arrive in Egypt.
 Through visa on arrival method
o No waste of time you will get it in the same day of your arrival to
Egypt
o you have to wait in line for about 4 to 5 hours to just get a visa issued
 through an online method
o Will get in about 4 to 5 days without much waiting.

Egypt Visa Requirements for EU citizens


1. Valid passport with at least one blank page
2. Your passport, which is valid for at least six more months
3. Passport-size photograph
4. The printed Egypt e-Visa
5. A travel itinerary
6. Hotel reservation or a tour agenda, if you’re traveling as a tourist
7. A letter of invitation from a host or company/organization in Egypt (if applicable)

Visa duration
Visitors with an eVisa can enter Egypt for a maximum of 30 days in Total. All visits are
strictly limited to business or tourism

Visa price
Visa through the embassy: The consular fee here is 40 euros for a visa that allows a 30-day stay in
Egypt and is valid for 90 days after it is issued

Electronic Visa: for a standard single-entry e-visa valid for 90 days will cost approximately €25 in
consular fees plus processing fees. With this visa, you will be able to stay in Egypt for a maximum of
30 days.
Visa on arrival: the fee here is only US$25, it will be necessary to queue at the counter to obtain it,
which is a significant waste of time.

How to apply for an e-visa for Egypt


1. Go to visa2egypt.gov.eg. This is the only official government e-visa portal for Egypt;
however, other websites falsely claim to provide this service, sometimes at double the
price.
2. Follow the prompts to sign up, sign in, apply, and pay online. Please note that Egypt
e-visas can only be paid for in US dollars or euros. Egyptian pounds are not accepted
as a form of payment for e-visas.
3. After your visa application has been processed, you will receive an email updating
you on the status of your application.
4. If successful, you will be emailed a link to download your e-visa to present on
arrival in Egypt. Passport control officers at Egyptian ports of entry will verify your e-
visa on their system.

If you are eligible for an Egypt e-visa, you must create an application at least seven days
before your arrival. Currently, the cost for a single entry tourist e-visa is USD 25. On arrival
in Egypt, you must present a printout of your e-visa, along with a passport of at least six
months' validity after your arrival date, a travel itinerary, and documentation outlining
accommodation and tour bookings
