Kinetic System Requirements Guide – 2022.

Kinetic Workstation

For desktop / network clients, keep in mind that other installed applications, specifically Microsoft products, have
their own requirements over and above the requirements for Kinetic. The Kinetic client will perform better on
workstations with sufficient memory and processor power to run all your applications.

Recommended Configuration

Operating System Windows 11 (32-bit or 64-bit)


Windows 10 Pro / Enterprise (32-bit or 64-bit)
Important: Windows 8.1 Pro and earlier are not supported.

.NET Framework 4.8 installed


Important: If you use BPM methods, .NET 6 Runtime is also required.
Processor 2.8 GHz or higher
Recommended dual core 32-bit or 64-bit processor and SSD drives
RAM 8 GB (add more RAM if the workstation is shared by multiple applications)

Disk Space for Kinetic 3 GB

Monitor SVGA or higher adapter


Color SVGA monitor with 1024 X 768 resolution
Internet The Kinetic SmartClient or WebClient typically requires 128 - 500 kilobytes per
second (kbps). Your company’s internet use and number of Saas users impact
the required bandwidth, so this rate is hard to calculate. The latency from a
workstation to the SaaS server should be <75 ms for good performance.
Security Port 443 to the SaaS endpoint must be on the allowed lists for virus scanning
and threat protection software running on the network.

MES Workstation
Same configuration as Kinetic workstation.

Tablets
Please use the above workstation sizing guide – if you are going to run a tablet, it must run Windows 10 OS.
Note that Windows Runtime (RT) is not supported.

Printer
At least one laser printer required for standard reports and forms must have the current Windows drivers.

Apple Computers
Will need to run Web Access or Bootcamp – please note that you will need to run the smart client on at least one
machine for advance setup.

Network
A 1 Gbit (or faster) network is recommended. Fiber optic cable is recommended in an environment with electrical
noise.
