Missing values
• Blank spaces in the data
• These are part of data. It is recommended not to amend them
• We can’t use “0” instead of missing value, it will effect the data
• At most a data may contain < 50% missing (for every
variable)

Best Practice
The best practice to deal with missing values is;
– Back Check (telephonic, physically)
– Remove the rows of missing values (collect data almost 10% more than
the required sample)
– Replace the missing value with mean value of the data
