Applications are invited from highly motivated and eligible candidates for the posts of JRF (Junior Research
Fellow) and RA-III (Research Associate – III) under Project titled “Feasibility Assessment of bioelectricity
generation and optimization of substrate in coupled constructed wetlands for wastewater treatment” in
Department of Civil Engineering at National Institute of Technology Delhi.

Essential Qualification Master’s Degree in Environmental Science, Biological/Life Sciences and
associated streams, Chemistry or equivalent in relevant areas of discipline with
minimum 60% aggregate marks (CGPA >=6.5/10)

B. Tech. / B. E. in Environmental / Civil / Chemical Engineering with minimum

60% aggregate marks (CGPA >=6.5/10)
Desirable Qualification • Consistent good academic record and knowledge in the relevant area
• Prior working experience in Water and Wastewater Treatment,
Constructed Wetlands, Pollution Control etc.
• GATE/NET/CSIR-JRF/UGC-NET qualified
 • Proficiency in basic computing skills
Duration of Initial appointment is for a period of one (01) year only which can be extended
Appointment upto any specified duration or until completion of Project. The position is co-
terminus with the Project.
Nature of Appointment • The appointment is purely temporary in nature and subject to regular
performance review.
• It shall be governed by administrative norms of Research and
Consultancy Division of NIT-Delhi (Institute Norms).
• It shall be subjected to regular and comprehensive performance review.
Other Benefits The selected candidate shall be encouraged to register for Ph. D. at NIT Delhi as
per Institute Norms

03 years’ experience in Research, Teaching and Design and Development after

M. E. / M. Tech. / M. V. Sc. with minimum 60% aggregate marks (CGPA
>=6.5/10) with at least 01 Research Paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI)

Candidates are advised to note the following points:

1. Selection Committee of NIT Delhi reserves the right to fix suitable criteria for shortlisting of eligible
candidates.
2. Only shortlisted candidates shall be called for interviews. Mere filling of application form does not
guarantee the Interview Call.
3. Information regarding date and time of the Interview shall be communicated to the shortlisted candidates

4. The decision of the Selection Committee will be final and abiding.
