Live Class Addon

Addon Installation:
Please follow the below steps to complete the installation process of
Certificate Addon.
1. Before starting the installation process, we would suggest you to
check your application version. It has to be the latest one. For
checking the application you can move to ​About​ section from
Settings​ menu.

2. If you are running the latest version, You are now good to go.
3. First download the addon you want to install on your application
from Codecanyon
4. Unzip the downloaded file.
5. You should get Two folders inside. One is for documentation and
the other is for the addon file.
6. You do not need to change anything. Like renaming, removing or
something else.
7. Now get back to your application. Login as Admin role. After
logging in you will be able to keep following.
8. From the left navigation menu, Go to ​Addon Manager ​from
Addon​ section.

9. You will find a list of addons you have so far.


10. Click on the “​Add New Addon​” button on the top. You should
redirect to an upload addon view.
11. That view will contain a single field called ​“​Upload Addons
File​”. Just upload the “​certificate.zip​” file.
12. After that hit the “​Install Addon​” button.
13. You should get a success message notification and you can also
see your installed addon on the “​Installed Addon​” list below.
Addon Usage:
To start live class using zoom app, follow these steps described below:

1. Zoom account setup


2. Obtain API keys
3. Connect academy LMS with your zoom account
4. Create zoom meeting
5. Configure course live class schedule
6. Operate live video class

1) Zoom account setup


Create your zoom account following this link:
https://zoom.us/signup
Fill up the form with given instruction and complete account creation by verifying your email
address.

Finally go to your account page and complete the account signup process.

If you already have a zoom account, just ignore this step and login to your zoom account.
2) Obtain API keys
In this step, you have to create a new JWT app to generate your API keys.
To do this, navigate to the link below and accept the terms of service:

Now select JWT and press “Create”

Give it a name and create the app.


Now fill up the app information form as instructed and then click “Continue”:
Skip the next steps and go to “Activation”. You will see the confirmation screen of your app
creation.

Now come back to “App credentials” tab.

Here you will get the API key and the Secret key, those will be required in the next step.
3) Connect academy LMS with your zoom account
Open your academy LMS application zoom settings:

Copy the API key and Secret key you got from the previous step and save it in this form.
Once you have configured them correctly, your Academy LMS portal is now connected with
your zoom account.

4) Create zoom meeting


You can create a zoom meeting in any of the following ways:

1. Browser ( in zoom website)


2. Desktop app ( Windows, Mac, Linux )
3. Mobile app ( iOS, Android )

In any medium, after the creation of the zoom meeting, retrieve the meetings id, password.

If you do NOT have the Zoom app installed, go to ​zoom.us​ and select "Host a Meeting" to start
the installation. If you DO have the App installed, see below -
Open your Zoom app on your desktop and click Sign In.

Log in using the E-mail and password that you have created, or with Google(Gmail), Facebook,
or log in with SSO.

Click the downward arrow and select Start with video, then click New Meeting to start an instant
meeting.

The Meeting information, including the Meeting ID, Password can be viewed by clicking the info
button in the top corner of the meeting window:

5) Configure course live class schedule
The course you have set the live class for, go to the settings of that course.
Navigate to the leftmost tab “Live class”.
Enter your planned schedule ( date and time both ) and note to students about the class.
Now copy the zoom meeting id, the password you got from the previous step and enter those
values in this form and update the course.

The live class schedule and note you have saved will be shown to course students from their
course playing page.
6) Operate live video class
Once you have completed all those previous steps, you are now ready to start your live class.
You need to start the meeting from your zoom app before the schedule is announced to your
students.

In the course playing page, a student will be able to join the live class by clicking the “join live
video class” button

If any student attempts to join the class, but you (as the instructor) didn’t start the zoom meeting
yet, the student will see this warning message:
If you ( as the instructor ) have already started the zoom meeting and a student attempts to join
the live class, the student will be waiting for your joining approval.

Now in your zoom app’s waiting room or participant list, you will see your student is awaiting
your confirmation.
You need to “Admit” the student to enter him/her to your live class.
A summary of the course information is shown to the live class student side top header. It
includes course name, instructor name, total number of students enrolled in this course.
