Project Assignment Guide


To conduct this project, you will work as part of a group-member team. The scenario for your
team is that you are the management team for a start-up fund with Birr 20 million in seed capital.
You want to identify attractive shares in Ethiopia to invest. So, you want to start investing your
capital and establish a good track record that will draw the attention of potential investors.

You must first take care of the development of your fund’s mission statement, objectives, and
constraints. Some items to consider in developing these are described below.

You will have to prepare reports on what it means to invest in different financial assets. The report
should highlight fundamentals of the chosen stock, what determines its value, how to forecast it,
what are the risks involved, etc. The report should provide sufficient background for other
individuals to base their investment decisions in their investment portfolio.
