1) What is WordPad?
i) Microsoft WordPad is a free rich text editor and word processor, first included with
Microsoft Windows 95 and all versions since. Although capable of doing more than
Notepad, WordPad is not as advanced as Microsoft Word. However, it does give you
additional features, Microsoft WordPad is capable of editing and saving plain-text file
(.txt), rich text format (.rtf), Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)

2) Now experiment with the font tools, which you’ll find under the font box. They are:

3) Now try WordPad’s aligning tools. These push text to one margin or the other (‘align left’
and ‘align right’), center each line (‘center align’) or make both sides straight.

Branch: Rehiyan & KrishnaBrahm Mr. Digital: 9501442828 Page | 13

CORE COMPUTER CENTER - CCA | DCA |ADCA |TALLY { Basic Of Computer }

4) To the right of the aligning tools, you’ll find four insert tools.

With these, you click to insert a picture from a file, draw a picture to insert in your document,
automatically insert the date and time or add a particular object. Try experimenting with
them.
5) You can change the way a word looks after you’ve typed it. Simply double-click on it to
highlight it – it turns blue to show that it’s been selected.

You can now use any of the tools above to change the word – for instance, changing its font
or size.

6) How to Save File

One of the most important things to learn to do with your work in WordPad is to save it
That way, you can turn off the computer and later go back to what you’d done. But you
really should save your work every few minutes. Then, if there’s a power cut, you’ll lose
only a few minutes’ work.
To save, go to the top left-hand corner of the WordPad screen and click the arrow in the
blue box: he ‘File’ drop-down list appears. Now click Save. This saves the document
exactly as it is.

Branch: Rehiyan & KrishnaBrahm Mr. Digital: 9501442828 Page | 14

CORE COMPUTER CENTER - CCA | DCA |ADCA |TALLY { Basic Of Computer }

It’s important that a document’s name relates to its content – for example, ‘letter to bank’ –
so that you can find it again later.

7) How to Print a File

Finally, as well as saving your document in digital form within your computer, you can
also print it. Open the ‘File’ drop-down list again and, this time, select Print. Then, moving
your cursor to the new menu on the right, click Quick print:

MOTHERBOARD PARTS
RAM: Jab bhi hum koi kaam karte hai computer mein, toh temporary data (jaise ki software, documents,
images, etc.) ko RAM mein store kiya jaata hai. Jo bhi data RAM mein store kiya jata hai, woh computer
ke processor ke liye jaldi se accessible ho jaata hai.

CPU: Processor ke dwara sabhi processing tasks perform kiye jaate hai, jaise ki applications chalana,
calculations karna, data processing karna, aur bahut kuch. CPU, motherboard ke ek designated socket
mein fit hota hai aur CPU fan ke dwara cool rakha jaata hai.

SMPS: SMPS ek device hai jo computer ke saare components ko power supply deta hai. SMPS mein
high-voltage AC power ko low-voltage DC power mein convert kiya jaata hai jo saare components ke liye
suitable hota hai.

MB: Motherboard computer ka sabse important component hai, jisme saare components jaise ki CPU,
RAM, graphic card, sound card, aur storage devices (jaise ki HDD aur SSD) connect hote hai.

Fan: Computer ka fan CPU aur SMPS ke temperature ko maintain karne ke liye use kiya jaata hai. Ek
processor ko jitna jyada use kiya jaata hai, utna jyada heat generate hota hai aur fan use cool rakhta hai.

HDD: Hard Disk Drive ek mechanical storage device hai jo long-term data storage ke liye use kiya jaata
hai. Hard disk mein spinning platters hoti hai jisme data magnetic storage mein store kiya jaata hai.

SSD: Solid State Drive ek storage device hai jisme data solid-state memory mein store kiya jaata hai.
SSDs faster hote hai aur HDDs se zyada durable hote hai.

Graphic card: Graphic card ek computer component hai jo graphics aur video rendering tasks ko handle
karta hai. Ye ek dedicated processor hota hai jo monitor ke liye video signal generate karta hai aur display
ko render karta hai.
