Question 1: Analyze the scenario from the perspective of Weber’s theory of bureaucracy and
identify three such instances when this theory’s principles have been disregarded. Link those
instances to specific violated principles of Weber’s theory in the table provided below.
Remember correct identification of the violated rule carries marks, not reproducing the

 Traditional authority is held by Mr. Talha. His impeccable track record of service,
dedication to efficiency and safety, and the established norms and processes inside the
bureaucratic structure all contribute to his authority.

 Authority Granted to Mr. Hamza by the Legal-Rational Framework of Bureaucracy, Mr.


Hamza's position as department supervisor grants him authority. His formal position,
together with his adherence to established procedures and norms, gives him authority,
not his character or family history.
