SYLLABUS OF INSTRUCTION
I. COURSE CODE : Math 2
II. COURSE TITLE : Plane Trigonometry

Prerequisite : College Algebra


Course Credit : 3 Units
Total Hours : 54 hours

III. COURSE DESCRIPTION: The course in the trigonometry covers circular functions, graph of circular functions, trigonometric identities, inverse trigonometric
functions, and solution of right and oblique triangles with word problems and applications in relation to the aviation industry.

IV. GENERAL OBJECTIVES:


At the end of the course, the students should be able to:
1. Demonstrate the mastery of the content knowledge of the different topics and analytical thinking skills in solving word problems in trigonometry.
2. Apply trigonometric concepts in solving real life problems;
3. Analyze the graph of trigonometric functions;
4. Show patience, perseverance and carefulness in solving word problems on triangles;
5. Appreciate the widening applicability of mathematics and activities of man;
6. Manifest values and positive attitudes acquired from the study of Trigonometry; and
7. Sketch graph of trigonometric functions accurately.
