Agreement for Sale and Transfer of Car

………..hereinafter referred to as "Buyer"
WHEREAS, Seller is the lawful owner of a _______ Car bearing
Chassis Number _______________ and Engine Number _____________,
hereinafter referred to as the "said car".
WHEREAS, Seller desires to sell and transfer the said car to the
Buyer, and Buyer desires to purchase the said car from Seller
under the terms and conditions set forth herein.
WHEREAS, the Buyer acknowledges and agrees that the said car
is sold in its current condition, known to the Buyer, and accepts it
"as is’’.
WHEREAS, the said car was registered with the Regional Transport
Office (RTO), Pune vide Vehicle Registration No. ____________.
WHEREAS, Buyer has agreed to complete the process of transfer
of the said car with the RTO Office, Pune within 45 days from the
date of this Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and
promises herein contained, the receipt and sufficiency of which
are hereby acknowledged, the parties agree as follows:
1. Sale of Car
Seller agrees to sell and Buyer agrees to buy the said car
described above for a total purchase price of Rs. ____________/-
(Rupees ___________________Only) which have been paid by the

Buyer Vide UPI bearing Transaction No. _____________________ on
______________.
2. Transfer of Ownership
Buyer agrees to complete the process of transfer of the said car
with the RTO Office, Pune within 45 days from the date of this
Agreement.
3. Delivery and Possession
Seller has handed over the possession of the said car on
______________. From the date of delivery of possession, all
responsibilities related to the said car, including but not limited to,
penalties, fines levied by the Police, RTO for not following traffic
rules and regulations, and any accident claims, shall be the sole
liability of Buyer.
4. Liabilities
From the date of delivery of possession of the said car, Buyer shall
be liable for any fines, penalties, accident claims, illegal or
criminal activities performed using the said car. Seller shall not be
held liable for any such fines, penalties, accident claims, or illegal
activities.
5. Repairs and Maintenance
Repairs and Maintenance of the said car after hand over of
possession of the said car i.e. from _____________ shall be borne by
the buyer. Seller shall not be liable to bear the cost of
maintenance and repairs from the moment the possession is
handed over to the buyer.
6. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in
accordance with the laws of India.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this
Agreement as of the date first above written.
