The HK-xxx employs the newest PEM membrane technology available for
electrolysis production of pure hydrogen, including exclusive static drying
system technology and cascading capabilities. Only pure water, distilled or
deionized, is required to provide trouble free long-term production of
Hydrogen gases.
The small contained internal gas volume (< 40ml) makes the HK-xxx version
safe for operation in spaces where hydrogen cylinders are restricted. A auto
shut-off procedure places the unit in standby in the event of an internal error.
Selectable alarms inform the user whenever operating conditions vary from the
set point.
Functioning principle: Touch screen display
Hydrogen is made from pure Water by electrolysis. (PEM technology). The PEM electrolycer technology
water is checked about the purity by conductivity measurement before using it
for electrolysis. The hydrogen gase passes two drying steps but non of them Easy to install and operate
need maintenance from the operator (no maintenance version). The hydrogen

gas pressure level is monitored all the time and regulated at the set pressure
level demanded from the operator. The systems contains auto shut off No caustic solution
capability if technical problems occurs resp. by internal- and external gas
leakage. Therefore the generator is a safety device. Remote control of the
device as option available.
Applications
The HK-xxx version is ideal for operation with gas analyzers, as fuel gas
generator for flame ionization detectors (FID) (FPD) in the Gas
Chromatorgraphy Laboratory ect.
Due to its small size and its non maintenance drying system, the HK-xxx is the
preferred source of hydrogen fuel gas for GC and FID analyzers. With its low
hydrocarbon contents (less than 0.1 ppm) the HK-xxx will give excellent and
stable base lines to any chromatograph on the market.
Applications are fuel as hydrogen for:

- Sulphur analyzers
- Hydrocarbon analyzers (all kind)
