positions itself as an alternative health company, where one replaces a
regular meal or snack with the company’s Ayurveda-based health food
products. It has introduced seven SKUs so far, including Ayurvedic teas
with ashwagandha, brahmi, and fresh rose petals; instant breakfast with
natural proteins such as sattu nuts; tea for heart ailments; brain foods to
satiate evening cravings, among others. So she put her faith in
preventive foods segment,Initially she invested Rs 22 lakh in setting up
a small manufacturing unit at the family land near her house in
Jammu. The first product she launched was ‘Heart Tea’ to lower
cholesterol. “The Heart Tea was priced at Rs 230,which contains Arjuna
Chhaal which helps in natural control of cholesterol, On setting up

compiling various recipes that had been passed down from generations.

the ratios and proportions of ingredients for various recipes. Apart from
this, she also took a three-month ayurvedic certification course at the
UVAS Ayurveda, Bangalore in collaboration with International
Academy of Ayurveda. Though she was familiar with ayurvedic
concepts because of my family’s influence, the course helped her
explore and upgrade the knowledge she had. After completing one year
of operations, Namhya Foods offers 26 different products, including
turmeric latte powder, diabetes/heart/liver care tea, ragi/millet based
breakfast mix, PCOS regulating drink, and child-friendly cocoa-
