Trật tự tính từ được xếp theo quy tắc OSASCOMP như sau:

Ngoài ra, trong tiếng Anh, trước tính từ thường có thêm từ hạn định (determiner) hoặc từ chỉ số lượng
(quantity). Cụ thể thứ tự như sau:

Ngoài ra, tính từ còn có thể đứng sau động từ Tobe và một số động từ liên kết (linking verb)

4. Quy tắc sử dụng dấu phẩy giữa các tính từ
- Các tính từ cùng loại đặt trước 1 danh từ → Cần có dấu phẩy
- Các tính từ khác loại đặt trước 1 danh từ → Không cần dấu phẩy
