District Rotaract Representative's Citation

for Rotaract Clubs of Rotary International District 3860 for RY 2024-2025

Dear Irresistibly Magical Leaders,

With great pleasure, I am sharing to you the District Goals and Thrust for Rotary Year 2024- 2025. All
Rotaract Clubs of Rotary International District 3960 will be working on these starting July 1, 2024 until
April 30, 2025. This will give ample time for the District Awards Committee to review project reports for
awards and recognitions.

In this thrust, there are mandatory goals for each club to achieve which are primarily based on the four
(4) Rotary International Strategic Priorities. These must be accomplished in order to qualify for the
District Awards. While there is this thrust, each club is highly encouraged to always give prime use of
its strength in resources such as members’ classifications and connection and linkages when planning
and implementing its projects.

MAJOR MANDATORY CLUB FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS:

1. 100% payment of the Rotary International Membership Dues (8$/member for Community
Based and 5$/member for University-Based club).
- Club in-voice will be accessed via myrotary account of club officers. Settle the dues 30
days after receipt of the RI Statement of Account. Please submit the scanned proof of
payment to the District Executive Committee and District Finance Committee.
2. 100% payment of the Rotaract Annual Levy of P1,000 per club c/o Sponsoring
Rotary/Rotaract club.
- Annual Levy shall be collected by the Rotary District Finance Committee. Submission
of scanned copy of the official receipt to the District Executive Committee and District
Finance Committee.
3. 100% payment of the District Rotaract Levy of 1$ per member to the District Finance
Committee.
- District Rotaract Levy shall be collected by the District Finance Committee Chair. During
the DRR’s visit, all rotaractors in the council visited must have paid the levy. A proof of
receipt must be presented.

MAJOR MANDATORY CLUB ACTIVITIES:

1. Accomplish the 2024-2025 Rotary International Presidential Citation for Rotaract Clubs.
2. Submit monthly reports. Reporting is done on or before every 15th of the month.
MAJOR CLUB CHALLENGE:
1. Achieve the Rotaract Club Giving Certificate by The Rotary Foundation
- Rotaract clubs shall donate a total of at least $100 to Rotary Foundation – at least
$50 to the PolioPlus program and at least $50 to the Annual Fund program. Please e-
mail the deposit slip along with the multiple donor form to the District Executive
Committee and District Rotary Foundation Committee.
2. Plant the most number of trees, nurtured and monitored until the specified date before the end
of the Rotary Year.

DEFINITION OF TERMS:
1. Club-initiated or collaborative project. A club-initiated project is one that is planned and
executed by a single Rotaract club. A collaborative project, on the other hand, is one that is
planned and executed by multiple Rotaract clubs working together. Collaborative projects allow
clubs to pool resources and expertise to make a greater impact in their communities.
2. District Grant is a program that funds a short-term project, either local or international, that
supports the Rotary Foundation’s mission.
3. DRR’s Visit is an official club visit of District Rotaract Representative Mark Glen Baldo and his
select District Officers in order to communicate directly to the Rotaractors within the district. It
enables the DRR to listen to the members of the club, and to gain a better understanding of
the workings of that club. The DRR serves as a catalyst to strengthen and inform the club of the
programs of Rotary and Rotaract, and to share the values, the vision, and the purpose of these
programs.
4. Friendship Clubs are two or more clubs from the same district that form a long-term
relationship to promote international understanding and goodwill and carry out service projects
in their communities
5. Global Grant is a program that is funded by Rotary Foundation to support clubs and districts in
implementing projects aligned with the mission and goals of the Foundation.
6. Mandatory Goals are sets of objectives that the Rotaract Clubs of Rotary International District
3860 are required to achieve in order to fulfill the purpose of the organization and meet the
standards set by Rotary International. They may include targets like increasing membership,
organizing a certain number of service projects per year, or promoting leadership development
among members.
7. Secondary Goal are sets of objectives which are equally important as the Mandatory goals and
bear the same significance. However, clubs may only prioritize achieving them when the
mandatory goals are achieved and it will not be bearing on whether a club will qualify for
Outstanding Club Recognition during DISCON.
8. Membership Net Gain or Membership Increase is computed using the number of members on
July 1, 2024 and its net gain increase by June 30, 2025.
9. Membership Retention is computed based on the total number of members on July 1, 2025
figure. A loss of a regular member can only be compensated if a Rotaractor with an RI
Membership Number would re-join the Club.
10. Paul Harris Fellow is a recognition that acknowledges individuals who contribute, or who have
contributions made in their name, of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation. This recognition is
named after the founder of Rotary, Paul Harris.
11. Project Implementer is an individual or group responsible for planning and executing a service
project or event. They are responsible for securing resources, coordinating volunteers, and
ensuring the success of the project.
12. Project Partner is an organization or individual that helps support the implementation of a
service project. They may provide funding, resources, or volunteers to assist the project
implementer in making the project a success.
13. Project Attendee is an individual who participates or joins in a service project or event. They
may volunteer their time, skills, or resources to help make the project a success.
14. Polio Plus Society is an organization of like-minded individuals who have committed to
contribute $100 or more each and every year to Polio Plus until the world has been declared
free of the Wild Polio Virus.
15. Interact Club stands for “International Action”. It is a Rotary program for young people between
the ages of 14 and 18. All Interact clubs are part of the Rotary International organization and
every club must be sponsored by a Rotary club and/or co-sponsored by a Rotaract club.
16. Rotaract Giving Certificate is an international award that recognizes clubs that contributed a
combined total of at least US $100 to the Rotary Foundation from July 1, 2024 until June 30,
2025.
17. Rotary Citation or Presidential Rotary Citation for Rotaract Clubs is an award from the Rotary
International President Stephanie Urchick that recognizes the hard work clubs do throughout
the year by achieving the goals set by Rotary International.
18. Rotaract Levy is an annual financial obligation to be paid by sponsoring Rotary/Rotaract clubs to
every Rotaract club sponsored. The levy will be collected by the Rotary District 3860 Finance
Committee headed by DFC Malcom James Yu Ching.
