2. Qualification Criteria
Qualification Criteria Remark
1. There will be 7 weight categories for Elite Men and 6 weight categories for
Elite Women in the National Games Boxing Competition. These weight
categories are the same as those used in the 37th National Games held in Goa.
2. No of Participants will be 16 Per Event. Elite Men participation will be 112
and Elite Women participation will be 96. Total 208 Boxers will participate in
38th National Games.
3. No of days required for conduct of the sport will be 8 Days.
4. Best 16 Boxers in each weight category of 7th Elite Men & 7th Elite
Women National Championship 2023 will be considered for National Games.
Host Quota will be 1 Boxer in each weight category. If host state is not
available in ranking, then 16th Rank will be given and quota will be allotted to
Host state.
5. As SSCB is included in the National Games and other boards are not, the
ranker from the best 16 who is from RSPB/AIP/SPSB will be replaced by 17th
Ranked boxer at the Last Nationals.
6. A state gets the berth allotted to the individual boxer by virtue of his/her
ranking who are amongst the top 16 as mentioned above during the 7th BFI
Elite Boxing Nationals. In case the boxer of that particular weight is not
available to box at the National Games due to injury and transfer of boxer, the
state can replace the boxer with another boxer, but in the same weight
category and submit the names to Boxing Federation of India by 2nd
January 2025 on [email protected] on a letter head duly signed by
General Secretary and President. No replacement will be considered after 2nd
January 2025.
7. Representation
7.1 An athlete must be permanent resident or have resided or been employed
in the state they represent for at least 6 Months prior to the opening
ceremony on January 28, 2025.

1. Arrival of Technical Official & Athlete: 29th January 2025
2. Technical Meeting & Official Draw: 30th January 2025
3. Competition Days: 31st January to 7th February 2025.
4. Departure: 8th February 2025
