2023 was a Year of Recession and a bad market for IT. But still TCS gave
joining to around 19000 Freshers maintaining an average of 4500 candidates
per quarter.

Average Candidates per Quarter: 38500/4= 9625 (~9500)
Above Data shows that TCS gave joining to around 7500-9000 candidates
every quarter in 2024.
Key Highlights of 2024
2024 started with joining in big numbers, giving hope that the IT market is
recovering which led to the decision of hiring 40k Freshers in FY2025.
Even after hiring 10000 Freshers from the 2024 batch in On Campus, they
decided to hire the rest from Off Campus.

But things took a turn in 2024 Quarter 4, when the onboarding of Experienced
candidates was postponed to January 2025, giving the indication that business
requirements are comparatively low compared to other quarters.

Note- 2024 Batch Onboarding started from 20 June 2024. Before that 2023 &
previous batches were onboarded.
Estimated 2024 Batch Candidates who got Joining Letter- 23450
Total Left for Onboarding- 43879-23753= 20126 (~20000)
So, if TCS Continues to onboard at the same pace, then all 2024 batch
candidates should be onboarded till June 2025. (See calculation Below)
January 2025-March 2025 : 8000
April 2025-June 2025 : 12000
Conclusion
2024 Batch might have to wait till June 2025. The reason is simple. They can
not onboard all the remaining 20000 at the same time. At the very best, the
2024 batch will have to wait till March 2025.
We have to wait for the FY2025 Q3 Earnings Meeting which will happen in
January 2025 for more clarity regarding onboarding of 2024 batch.
