A Liminal Wonderland is a zine created for
my final year university project. It focuses on the significance of motorway service stations during the 90s rave movement, and how these paradoxical places beca- me an integral part of the weekend. Talking Over Tea.
A collaborative project brief set by Hallmark cards,
asking us to ‘shift perceptions of the language and material of printed greeting cards,’ by reinventing the tradition of the folded paper message, ‘embracing the language of wonky communication, leftover materials, play and humour.’
We approached this by creating an interactive instil-
lation piece called ‘Talking over Tea’. The concept behind this was to encourage people to have a con- versation over a ‘cuppa’- with the intention of it being slightly unusual, but simultaneously meaningful. To help conversation flow, those who participated were given ‘wonky question cards’, some deep and serious, some rather questionable...
This was exhibited at HOME Cinema in Manchester
last year, where anyone who wished to could sit down with a stranger, friend, parent etc, enjoy a cup of tea and find out more about each other through our unusal prompts. This generated real and authentic responses and created some new friendships through a fun alternative to the classic folded greeting card. The Elysian Fields.
The Elysian Fields is a festival concept focused on
Greek Mythology, with the intention of providing a sense of escapism for the atendee. This is achieved by taking them to a dream-like utopian setting, with different areas of the festival dedicated to each one of the ancient Greek Gods and Goddess‘. Trash to Table.
The ‘Trash to Table’ project is a campaign for

On a study trip to New York City, I used
