The PHONICS 4 PIANO ® TEACHING SERIES
You will need to download the audio accompaniment tracks
for this book on your computer at www.pianimals.com.
Playing along with the accompaniment tracks allows the student to have a
‛bigger sound‛ and to play musically, with a steady beat and no pauses. It
will make the student a better musician, but HAVE PATIENCE because it is
harder to play with the accompaniment than to play alone. Start by listening
to the up-to-speed track for the piece you want to play. Practice the piece
until you feel confident enough to begin playing with the PRACTICE TEMPO.
Play it over and over in order to become successful with the accompaniment
track. Don‛t give up - it will be fun when you get it up to speed.
The 1st track number is the up-to-speed tempo - the goal to be worked for
in order for the piece to be really musical. This track has the piano-part
volume reduced so that the piano performer can stand out and may be used at
a recital.
The 2nd track number is a slower, practice tempo with the piano part louder
in order to make playing along easier.
Book A (only) has a 3rd very slow tempo for the youngest children to use
while developing necessary dexterity.
The number next to the drumsticks tells how many introductory beats to
wait for before the pianist should begin playing. The bell is on the first
beat of each measure.
ENJOY!!
