INTRODUCTION:
According to DepEd No. 40, series of 2015, Work Immersion refers to
the part of the Senior High School (SHS) Curriculum consisting of 80
hours of hands-on experience or work simulation which the Grade 11
and 12 students will undergo to expose them to the actual workplace
setting and to enrich the competencies provided by the School Head
and the designated personel of the Partner.
Letter to the readers,
Knowing your potential extends your capabilities.
This portfolio is composed of all the hardships that I have experienced
during our Work Immersion and my understanding in my life.
Experiencing hardships made me realize that in order to achieve
success you have experience failure.
If you are reading this, always remember that no matter how hard
things are you just have to deal with it.

Acknowledgements
First of all, I would like to thank God for the life that was given to me.
Second, I would like to give thanks to my family for providing all my
need, for giving me the allowances and preparing foods for me
everyday of my Work Immersion period. I would also like to thanks our
Work Immersion Teacher Mrs. Edith Finalla for the guidance and
knowledge she shared to us in connection to our Work Immersion
subject and of course for letting us stay in her house. I would also like
to give gratitude to our adviser, subject teachers, school staff, and to
our principal for allowing us to experience this.
The word “salamat” is not enough to describe how grateful I am to have
this people in my life.

Objectives of Work Immersion
1. Gain relevant and practical industrial skills under the guidance
of industry experts and workers.
2. Appreciate the importance and application of principles and
theories taught in school.
3. Enhance their technical knowledge and skills.
4. Enrich in communications and human relation.
5. Develop good attitude and respect for work.
Duration and Place of Work Immersion
Our Work Immersion was conducted at the Castle Roo Car Services
located at Brgy. Mambatad, Miagao, Iloilo.
Our Work Immersion started on March 4, 2024 and ended on March
15, 2024, almost 2 weeks or 10 days with 8 hours of work with a total of
80 hours for the whole Work Immersion.
Observations Insights
Work Immersion is now part of Senior High School requirements
especially on the Grade 12 in which is part of the K-12 program of the
Department of Education in our country. Work Immersion is now part of
our academics as a Major Subject in which revolve around self-
development, skill development, experience and gaining knowledge
outside of the school premises. Work Immersion has an important role
that serves a great purpose in our future. This role includes being able
to socialize to others and meeting different kinds of persons that can
help you learn more throughout life. In this way you can gain
knowledge and different kinds of skills that you can use in any
circumstances that you may face.
This experienced has a great impact on my life, it makes me change
my perspective on the way things serves a purpose or an important role
that I can make practice of in the future. It made me realized that life
should not be taken lightly and always seize opportunities that might
have a great change in your life.
Overall Reflections and Self Appraisal
Work Immersion is required for a Senior High School student that are
graduating. Work Immersion is important for it enhances skills that are
applicable in our life. The way we were able to experienced it really
take a big turn in terms of the knowledge we are able to receive and be
to apply it in certain circumstances.
The duration that are given each day, the 8 hours of work is very crucial
and important for the reason within that time is the only time you can
work and after that you will just go home and rest.
The way you socialize to the people on the workplace, the way you
create relations with your co-worker, to strengthen the bonds and
connection in order to make tiresome work into a everyday bonding,
you get along with the people and sometimes they make you forget of
the problems that you are currently facing.
Time passes through and our Work Immersion ended in just 10 days,
80 hours of duty, filling out our daily time record and finishing our given
tasks, the experienced was just for a moment but it was indeed a
lifetime memories.
