Project Manager. The works under this BI include upgrade of firewater piping network, firewater pumps and
control, and firefighting devices. Major scope includes provision of around 25 KM FW pipe and valves, two
Electric FW Pumps, two Jockey Pumps, One diesel Engine driven FW pump, Chlorination skid, Foam Tank, and
other instrumentation and electrical scope items.

Participated in BI-10-07850 Detail Design, Replace Pressure Vessels at Hawiyah and Uthmaniyah GOSPs, as
Project Manager. The purpose of the facilities proposed under this BI is to improve safety of the crude
producing facilities at the South Ghawar Field by the replacement of existing four (4) non- Hydrogen Induced
Cracking (HIC) resistant pressure vessels with (4) HIC resistant pressure vessels.

Participated in BI-10-00765 Install Closed Drain System at Yanbu Refinery, as Project Manager. The works
under this BI are to provide construction support facilities to successfully complete ongoing construction
activities. This includes all required engineering construction support for the construction phase of the shut-
down tie-ins including, responding construction TQs, arranging site visits, revision of design drawings as
required, creation of new sketches/drawings, field modification of drawings, as-built drawings as per
provided red markups, review and approval of contractor supplied shop drawings, provide Engineering &

Participated in BI-10-01251 Cogeneration Interconnection Facilities project at Ras Tanura Refinery, as Project
Manager. The works under this BI mainly include provision of construction support via responses to technical

Participated in New Mercury Guard Bed Project (Detail Design) in Olefins Plant at Saudi Kayan affiliate in
Jubail, as Project Manager. Saudi Kayan intends to reduce the high Mercury contamination in Butane feed by
installing a Mercury Guard and Removal System.
The works under this project consist of design, supply and installation of a new Mercury Guard Bed along
with the installation of new Butane Filters (02 Units), piping works, firefighting/fire protection, civil/structural
works, electrical and Instrumentation works including the design, supply and installation of Mercury Analyzer
to monitor the inlet and outlet Mercury content. Johnson Matthey was selected Process licensor.

Participated in BI-10-00223 NGL Plant Expansion Project at Yanbu NGL Utility Area, as Project Manager. The
works under this BI consist of provision of an additional BFW pump to enhance operation/demand

Projects Handled as Senior Project Engineer

Participated in BI-10-02168-FEL3 for Additional Diesel Hydrotreating Unit at Ras Tanura Refinery. Project is
supposed to install a new DHT with a hydraulic capacity of 80MBD. The unit shall be designed to primarily
process the Khuff Fractionator Light and Heavy Diesel streams and the Plant 15 LWD stream. In addition, the
unit shall also be capable of processing the Plant 15 diesel streams in the event of an outage of the existing
Plant J88 DHT. The project shall upgrade the existing Plant 71 Kerosene Merox Plant to improve its water
control capabilities when operating at plant name plate capacity of 60MBD. This will be achieved by the
installation of new coalescers on each of the two trains. The project shall upgrade the existing RTR amine
regeneration system to allow for the inclusion of the new DHT requirements. This will be achieved by the
installation of new feed surge drums on each of the three existing amine regeneration trains. Process licensor
was Axens dealing all ISBL design. My role being coordinator for all subcontracts during FEL-3 phase.

Participated in Saudi Arabian Basic Industries (SABIC) Utilities Park and Pilot Plant FEED Project - UPP (MP-
151000100). The UPP Project primarily be built on the existing SABIC Technology Center site in proximity to
the STC-J Administration facility with the same design as the existing Plants at STC Riyadh. The UPP project
includes complete new OSBL facilities required to support the newly constructed UPP Pilot Plants (ISBL). The
UPP Pilot Plants comprise seven new Plants, primarily, PE-1, PE-2, PP-3, PE-4, EPS (Expandable Polystyrene
Pilot Plant), TINO (TINO Catalyst Pilot Plant) and LAO (Linear Alpha Olefin Pilot Plant). Space and utilities for
the two future pilot plants [ACP (Advanced cascade Process HDPE Pilot Plant) and Mutlizone (Polyethylene
Pilot Plant- Multi-Zone Process)] also considered in the scope of this ITB. The raw materials either to receive
from neighboring plant of United or through truck loading. ER Estimate was provided including a second
option to relocate all existing seven plants from STC-R to STC-J.

Participated in BI-10-01935 REPLACE RAW WATER PIPELINE – ABQAIQ: Scope under this BI include replacing
the existing deteriorated 20-inch cement-lined carbon steel raw water pipeline with 20-inch RTR pipeline
between Shedgum water wells and Abqaiq plant to ensure reliable water supply. The new pipeline ensure
reliable raw water supply to Abqaiq plants, Abqaiq community and other industrial facilities.

Participated in BI-10-00741 Clean Transportation Fuels, FO and HFB Loading Facilities at Riyadh Refinery. The
works under this BI are to provide extension to existing facilities for the Fuel Oil as well as the Hydrocracker
Fractionator Bottoms (HFB) to facilitate Truck Loading at the SRBP complete with all associated systems’
modifications.

Participated in BI-10-01251 Detailed Design Engineering for Cogeneration Interconnection Facilities project at
Ras Tanura Refinery. The purpose of this project involves Saudi Aramco corporate strategy to maximize
company energy efficiency. This project to install, interconnection facilities to facilitate 3rd Party cogeneration
trains to supply approximately 300 MW of power and 1200 MMPPH of steam to meet existing steam demand
and wheel excess power to other Saudi Aramco facilities. Major equipment involves: Addition of two new
Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs) by third party, Settlement, Back-up & Supplementary Fuel Gas

Hawiyah Gas Plant and Abqaiq Plants. The purpose of this project involves Saudi Aramco corporate strategy
to maximize company energy efficiency. This project to install interconnection Facilities to facilitate Third
Party cogeneration trains to supply approximately 300MW of power and 1200 MPPH of steam to meet
existing steam demand for Abqaiq (240MW of power and 860 MPPH of steam for Hawiyah Gas Plant) and
wheel excess power to other Saudi Aramco facilities. Major equipment involves same as BI-10-01251
mentioned above.

Participated in BI-10-01081 Upgrade Sulfur Capacity, Riyadh Refinery project. This project got ON-HOLD.
Main purpose of this BI was to upgrade the existing sulfur recovery unit (three trains) capacity and efficiency
by using the Oxygen Enrichment Technology (OET). The sulfur units were to be modified with the
implementation of necessary modifications in the three existing sulfur recovery trains, allowing increase in
capacity from the current 70 MTPD air-based operation up to 105 MTPD and ultimately, doubling the
capacity to 140 MTPD, increasing efficiency from current 95% to 97%.
