- Ngo Quoc Trung
What challenges did you face while completing this project?
- The main technical challenge was ensuring the system worked across different
platforms and that the APIs we used for maps and location-based services were
stable and reliable.
What were the highlights for you/your team during this project?
- One of the highlights was developing a feature that allowed guides to access
map data and location-based recommendations. It was rewarding to see it all
come together.
If you were to do the project again, what would you do differently?
- I would focus more on optimizing the backend for performance and scalability,
especially when dealing with large amounts of tour and location data.
What is the most important thing you learned in this project?
- I learned how to work effectively within a team and communicate technical
details to non-technical members.
What part of the project did you do your best work on?
- Ensuring the maps were responsive and accurate was a technical challenge that
I enjoyed solving.
What was the most enjoyable part of this project?
- The most enjoyable part was collaborating with the team to design the user
interface. It was exciting to see our ideas take shape and become usable.
What was the least enjoyable part of this project?
C1SE.55 Team Page 8 of 12
REFLECTION International School Capstone 1 – 2024
- The least enjoyable part was when we had to clarify conflicting requirements
from different stakeholders, which caused delays in the design phase.
How could you/your mentor(s) change this project to make it better next time?
- I would improve the requirements gathering process by involving end users
more from the start. This would help avoid any miscommunication or gaps in
understanding.
How did you share this project? (Examples: class or school presentation, guest
collaboration, etc.)
- The project was shared through workshops, presentations to the stakeholders,
and documentation that described the workflows and system design.

What challenges did you face while completing this project?
- The biggest challenge was testing the system for all possible use cases,
especially when dealing with complex workflows like location approvals or
dynamic map features. It was also difficult to simulate real-world scenarios,
such as poor internet connectivity, which could affect system performance.
What were the highlights for you/your team during this project?
- One of the highlights was identifying critical bugs early during the integration
phase, which could have caused significant issues later. It felt great to
contribute to the project’s overall stability and reliability.
If you were to do the project again, what would you do differently?
- Next time, I would recommend setting up automated test scripts earlier in the
development phase to save time and ensure consistent testing across all
modules.

REFLECTION International School Capstone 1 – 2024
What is the most important thing you learned in this project?
- I learned how crucial it is to test the system in real-world conditions. Simulating
scenarios that end users would face gave us a better understanding of the
system’s robustness.
What part of the project did you do your best work on?
- I’m most proud of the work I did on stress testing the system. It was rewarding
to see how the system performed under heavy loads and to help the team
optimize the backend..
What was the most enjoyable part of this project?
- The most enjoyable part was testing the interactive map feature and discovering
creative ways to break it. Debugging those issues alongside the developers was
a fun and collaborative process.
What was the least enjoyable part of this project?
- The least enjoyable part was retesting the same functionalities after each minor
bug fix. While it’s necessary, it can be repetitive and time-consuming.
How could you/your mentor(s) change this project to make it better next time?
- To improve, I would suggest involving testers earlier in the development
process, so we can provide feedback on edge cases before the implementation is
complete.
How did you share this project? (Examples: class or school presentation, guest
collaboration, etc.)
- I contributed by creating a detailed test report and presenting it to the team
during a final review session.

What challenges did you face while completing this project?
- The biggest challenge was designing a user interface that was both intuitive and
functional, ensuring it was easy for guides and staff to use in various
environments.
What were the highlights for you/your team during this project?
- One highlight was when the design was validated by real users, and they found
it easy to navigate. It felt rewarding knowing that the design worked well for
the actual users.
If you were to do the project again, what would you do differently?
- Next time, I would conduct more user testing during the design phase to catch
potential usability issues earlier and refine the design iteratively.
What is the most important thing you learned in this project?
- I learned how important it is to balance aesthetics with functionality, especially
in a system where ease of use is key for a smooth user experience.
What part of the project did you do your best work on?
- My best work was the design of the interactive map feature. Making the
interface clear and usable while also being visually engaging was a challenge I
really enjoyed.
What was the most enjoyable part of this project?
- The most enjoyable part was working closely with the business analysts to
create wireframes and mockups that aligned with the user needs and
expectations.
What was the least enjoyable part of this project?
- The least enjoyable part was revising designs multiple times due to changing
requirements. It was frustrating but necessary to get it just right.
How could you/your mentor(s) change this project to make it better next time?
- I would prioritize user feedback earlier in the process and implement small
iterations to improve usability as we went along.
How did you share this project? (Examples: class or school presentation, guest
collaboration, etc.)
- I shared the project through design presentations, mockup demonstrations, and
walkthroughs to stakeholders to ensure the design was aligned with their vision.
