music?"
o Student’s response: "It sounds lively and colorful, like it’s part of a celebration."
2. Show an image of the Taj Mahal and ask what country it represents.
o Teacher’s statement: "Today, we’ll explore the rich and diverse music of India."
D. Lesson Proper and Discussion:

North and Carnatic from the South. Both use ragas (melodic frameworks) and
talas (rhythmic cycles)."
