The "SERIES 300" fire control unit is designed for control and management of fire detection
and automatic extinguishing systems.
The control unit is housed in a suitable metal cabinet painted in RL7032 grey.
It can be equipped with acoustic alarm device, “automatic/manual” key selector switch and
discharge control push buttons on the discharge modules.
The unit manages and controls outputs both for optical and acoustic signals and for
connection to extinguishing systems.
It is also able to receive remote signals such as pre-alarm, alarm and system in operation.

A. Main power supply module mod. 301
The “301” module has been designed to supply power to the detection and extinguishing
systems up to 11 zones (first rack) and to supply and control batteries.
The “301/S” module has been designed to supply power to the detection and extinguishing
systems up to 12 zones. It is installed from the 2° rack onwards and supplies each rack at a
time
The“302” module has been designed to collect all alarm and general fault signals. Through the
battery charger it also controls test on batteries.
The “303” module has been designed to receive two different alarms coming from two
detectors connected on the same line. The first detector gives a pre-alarm signal, while the
second activates the alarm signal. This last output is also used for control of extinguishing
modules. The maximum number of detectors for each line is 25.
The “304” module has been designed to supervise the operation of extinguishing systems. It is
provided with a discharge timer which can be programmed from 0 to 120 sec., and with a
SPDT contact for interruptions to be carried out before discharge occurs.
The “306” module has been designed to control two different detection lines. It is installed in
case of a cross-line detection system. The two zones are provided with separate alarm and
fault signals and with a switch for line interruption.

9. INSTRUCTIONS FOR START-UP
Before connecting the control unit to power supply, it will be necessary to check that all electrical
connections are correctly inserted.
After a careful inspection, start to supply the control unit by closing the battery switch (marked
+B or I2) and then the mains switch (marked 0-220 or I2). Switches are installed on the front
panel of the control unit and are protected by a Plexiglas cover.
NOTE : If the sequence of closing switches is not followed, a fault signal will appear on
the power supply module Mod. 301 (battery fault). In order to reset open the
mains switch for some seconds and then close it.
At the end of the above operation put into operation the module Mod. 303 by using the
dedicated switch placed on the same module ; the Led indicating zone activated will be on.
NOTA : Be careful to activate one zone at a time in order to avoid faults on the
detection line.
The discharge line can be provided with a automatic/manual selector when the control unit
includes a discharge module (mod. 304).
The system can be designed to have automatic/manual selection both on general and on single
zone basis.
The automatic/manual selector switch outside the control unit will control discharge.
The inhibition switch placed outside the protected room will stop both automatic and manual
discharge. (This is an option).
If modules have been activated in a proper manner, no alarm/fault signals coming from either
the control unit or line should appear on the panel.

IN CASE OF FAULT
When a fault is present, yellow Leds flash and acoustic signals are intermittent.
In order to turn Leds to fixed light, silence acoustic signals and act as follows :
1) press the silence push button placed on the module Mod. 302 in order to identify the fault.
When the fault is identified, it will be necessary to repair it to return the control unit into
normal conditions.
IN CASE OF ALARM
When the detector in alarm is identified, Led will turn to fixed light.
When a second line detector is in alarm, there is an alarm signal on the control unit. Led will
flash and acoustic signal will be continuous.
When the detector in alarm is identified, Led will turn to fixed light.
When the detector in alarm is identified, Led will turn to fixed light.
When a second line detector is in alarm, there is an alarm signal on the control unit. Led will
flash and acoustic signal will be continuous.
When the detector in alarm is identified, Led will turn to fixed light.

10. PERIODICAL MAINTENANCE
Monthly
- Check that batteries operate correctly. When batteries prove to be inefficient for
operation, replace them.
- Check good conditions of optical signals by means of the lamp test push button placed
on the module mod. 302. Replace lamps in case they are burnt out.
