Youth Mission Day 2024
Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for
the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.
- 1 Timothy 4:12
July 22, 2024

7:20 – 7:40 am – Word of God (John 15:4-6) cf. John15:10 (the Love language of
Jesus * Pastor Ramil
7:40 – 7:45 am – Prayer
7:45 – 8:00 am – Welcome and Introduction
- Review Goals

Goals:

1. To encourage young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world

today.

2. To overcome barriers of relationship building and maintain strong relationship.

3. To provide a simple, fun, and distraction free camp experience where lives are
changed through a deeper connection with God and each other.

8:00 – 8:30 am – Getting to Know You Activities

1. Ice breaker: Lap, Lap, Clap, Snap

1. Sit on the floor in a big circle.

2. Have everyone go around introducing their names.

3. Teach them the main pattern, “Lap, Lap, Clap, Snap”. This is done by patting one’s
legs with both hands twice in a row, clapping in front of you, and then snapping with
both hands. Do it several times until everyone in the circle is comfortable with the
rhythm.

4. Then the game begins. The leader starts the action: “Lap, Lap, Clap, Snap.” But
instead of saying “Snap”, the leader then calls out the name of a person in the “snap”

5. That person must then continue the pattern, calling out a different name in the place
of the “snap”.

For example:

LEADER: Lap, Lap, Clap Sasha!

SASHA: Lap, Lap, Clap, John!
JOHN: Lap, Lap, Clap, Linda!
etc.

6. The trick is to never break the rhythm. This will probably take some practice at first.
Practice until everyone gets comfortable with the pattern.

7. After a while, consider beginning an “elimination mode”. Any time the rhythm is
broken, the person who broke the rhythm is out. The person sitting next to the one who
missed should start the rhythm again.

8. When everyone gets comfortable with the game, increase the fun by speeding up
the rhythm.

2. M&M Roulette

 Write prompts next to every color M&M

Yellow: What's one thing that can instantly make your day better?

Red: What's your favorite season and why?

Blue: What is your favorite song?

Green: What was the best vacation you ever took and why?;

Orange: If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Brown: Which meal is your favorite: breakfast, lunch, or dinner?

Violet: How do you enjoy spending your alone time?

 Have students sit in a circle.

 Open a pack of M&Ms.
 Pass around the pack.
 Ask students to pick out an M&M
 Whatever color they get, they have to answer the prompt
 Go until the pack is empty

8:30 – 9:00 am – Building a Tower

In groups of 4

Goal: Make a self-standing tower as tall as you can using only a bond paper.

Action:

1) 5 minutes to plan before building

2) stand up in circle-ready, go!
3) 15 minutes to build
4) measure towers
5) gather in large group to share strategy

9:00 – 9:05 am - Prayer

9:05- 9:30 am – Snack Time

9:30 – 9:50 am - Mix It Up” is basically a scavenger hunt where students have to figure
out what they’re even hunting for in the first place. This one is great for everyone to get
to participate at once!

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 A bunch of random objects of your choice for students to find

 Lists of said items
 A large area (like a church) to play in

HOW TO PLAY THIS INDOOR GAME

1. Divide up the items evenly into four groups.

2. Divide everyone up into four teams.
3. List out the items on different sheets of paper, but mix up the letters. So, for
example, RED BUCKET might turn into DRE KBEUCT.
4. Distribute a list to each of the four groups.
5. Release the groups into the church. Students must figure out what their items are
and then search the church to find them. Students are not allowed to take any
items not on their list.
Once a team has all of their items, they must return them to a designated space, where
a leader will check the accuracy of their finds. The first team to collect all of their items
wins!

9:50- 11:30 am - Preparing of Food for Lunch

11:30 – 12:30 pm – Lunch

12:30 – 1: 00 pm – Cleaning Time

1:00 – 1:30 pm – Rest Time

1:30 – 1:45 pm – Ice Breaker

Find One in Five. Give your group five seconds to find one person who has something
in common with them, but make it something unusual like a place they have traveled.
Once they find someone, they yell, "FOUND ONE!" Then do it again, but they must find
two people, and so on.

Other sample questions: Find someone who has as many siblings as you, someone
whose middle name starts with the same letter, someone whose mom's name is the
same as your mom's name.

1:45 – 3:00 pm – Prayer Wall

A Prayer Wall is a fun church activity for youth that encourages them to be mindful and
reflective of their faith. Participants are asked to write down any praises, worries or
gratitude statements on a wall decorated with Bible verses and prayers. Doing this
helps young church members learn more about the Bible while teaching them to think
deeply about their relationship with God.

What You Need:

 Bible
 Blank pieces of paper

Instructions:

1. Give each participant a few pieces of paper.

2. Encourage participants to write down a praise, worry or gratitude statement on
each blank piece of paper.
3. Have them place the papers on a wall decorated with Bible verses and prayers.
4. Discuss the lessons behind each statement.
5. Allow each participant to reflect on their relationship with God.
6. Encourage them to think about how each Bible verse and prayer applies to their
lives.
7. Allow the group to pray for all the worries, praises and gratitude statements
posted on the wall.
8. Celebrate the collective effort by singing a song of praise.
