SECTION –E
(This section comprises of 3 case- study/passage-based questions)

Three departments in a tech company (Marketing, Data Analytics, and Software Development) are
analyzing the skills of their employees. To understand overlap and specialization in these departments,
they surveyed their employees to see who has skills in: Digital Marketing, Data Analysis, and
Programming.
Here’s the data collected:
 60 employees have skills in Digital Marketing.
 80 employees have skills in Data Analysis.
 70 employees have skills in Programming.
 30 employees have skills in both Digital Marketing and Data Analysis.
 25 employees have skills in both Digital Marketing and Programming.
 35 employees have skills in both Data Analysis and Programming.
 10 employees have skills in all the three areas.
Using Venn diagram answer the following questions:

(i) How many employees have skills in only Digital Marketing?
(ii) How many employees have skills in only Data Analysis?
(iii) a. How many employees have skills in exactly two of the three areas?
OR
b. How many employees have skills in at least one of the three areas?

43. Read the following passage and answer the questions given below:

A marketing agency is planning a product launch event for a major tech company. They have various tasks to arrange,
from assigning speakers to creating promotional gift bags for attendees. Here are the details:
Speakers: The agency has invited 8 industry experts, but only 3 of them can speak due to time constraints. The order in
which they speak is important, as each speaker’s content builds on the previous one.
Gift Bags: The agency plans to give out gift bags to attendees. Each bag will contain a selection of 5 items chosen from a
set of 10 different items. Each combination of items should be unique, but the order of items in each bag does not matter.
Panel Seating: In addition to the main speakers, 4 of the invited experts will participate in a closing Q&A panel. The
seating order for this panel is important to create an engaging flow.

Answer the following questions:

(i) In how many different ways can the agency choose and arrange 3 speakers out of the 8 invited experts?
(ii) In how many unique ways can the agency choose 5 items for each gift bag from the 10 available items?
(iii) a. In how many different ways can the agency arrange the seating order for the 4 panelists?
OR
b.If the agency decides to include 1 “special item” from the set of 10 different items in each gift bag, and this item must
be present in every bag alongside any 4 additional items, how many unique ways can the agency choose 4 items?.
