Population in big cities has grown significantly, so more and more people are living in

small houses with very little or no outdoor space. This essay will illustrate the problems of the
mentioned trend and the solutions that can help to solve the negative effects that it may cause.

Firstly, there are variety of problems when citizens live in a small house with very little or even
no outdoor space. They may lack of fresh air and exposure to nature that can lead to some
issues related to mental well-being. Because they may feel cramped and uncomfortable when
staying at home for a long time without exposing to fresh air. Additionally, living in a house with
very little or no outdoors space not only impact people’s mental health but also the physical
well-being. People may do not have enough space for doing exercises and the lack of physical
activities that can led to sedentary lifestyle. It can even cause some diseases such as diabetes,
respiratory illnesses, depression.

Secondly, the government and society should take action to reduce the negative effects of those
problems. They can invest in more public and green spaces such as parks, recreational areas
close to the residential houses so that fostering city dwellers to go outside and expose to the
nature.In addition, government can implement new practices of standard houses for renting
and leasing that must have enough outdoor spaces for the residents. Moreover, raising
awareness of citizens about population pressure is vital to mitigate the effects of no outdoor
spaces. Government can encourage organizations and companies to establish in countryside in
order to open more employment opportunities for people instead of moving to big cities and
seeking jobs.

In conclusion, the growth of population in metropolises nowadays may result in many problems
related to physical and mental well-being due to living in a small houses with very little or no
outdoor spaces. Government and society should find the solutions to minimize the bad effects
of those problems.
