DAY 01 :- Arrival –
Kandy
Arrival, welcome by a representative of Lanka Sportreizen and transfer to
Kandy.

En route visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage

Pinnawala is an orphanage, nursery and breeding ground for wild


elephants. Pinnawala was created as an orphanage, for taking care of
orphaned elephants found in the forests of the country. Today this
expanded to providing care for disabled elephants as well. Guests are
given the opportunity to feed elephants, observe them bathing in the
river.

Lunch – Own arrangement

“The Hill Capital”Kandy…………. literally the "City on the Hills" so named as it was protected by the
nature - water, rocks and jungles. The last capital of the Sri Lankan kings before falling to the British
in 1815AD which is a World Heritage Site. The name Kandy conjures vision
of splendour of magnificence. Many of the legends, traditions and
folklore are still lovingly kept alive. The centre of attraction is the golden
roofed Temple of the Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha. The Kandy Lake built by
the last King Sri Wickramarajasinghe in 1806 holds a prominent view of
the City. It is a City for arts and crafts as well culture and history.

Undertake a City Tour including - the Upper Lake Drive - a place where
one could have a bird's eye view of the city below, a Gem Museum - to
see how the valuable gems that you see on a shop shelf are turned out
from a raw stone with the back ground history.

Evening Visit Kandy Temple & visit Cultural show


The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic or Sri Dalada Maligawa, is a Buddhist temple in Kandy, Sri
Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the
relic of the tooth of the Buddha.

DAY 02 :- Kandy -
Bentota
After the breakfast at the hotel .We will begin the journey to Bentota.

Bentota is a resort town on Sri Lanka’s southwest coast. Its long Bentota
Beach stretches north, where it becomes a sandy strip known as Paradise
Island, parallel to Bentota Lagoon. Coral-rich dive sites include Canoe
Rock. On Bentota River, centuries-old Galapota Temple has a large Buddha
statue. Southeast is Lunuganga, the estate and gardens of architect
Geoffrey Bawa. Northeast is his brother Bevis's Brief Garden.

Visit Kosgoda Sea Turtle Hatchery.

The Turtle Care Centre at Kosgoda beach is one of 18 turtle hatcheries


along the southern coast of Sri Lanka. The center is located in the South
Western coastal village of Kosgoda and was established in 1981. It is
also very popular as all five species of turtles that visit Sri Lanka nest in
Kosgoda. This is not so with many of the other hatcheries around the
island whose beaches host only some of the species. The centre
functions mainly as a hatchery and makes huge efforts to increase the
rate of hatching, and survival of baby turtles in their very initial stages.

DAY 03 :- Bentota –
Colombo
After breakfast proceed to Colombo and on arrival commence city tour of
*Colombo - a drive through the city taking you to the busy commercial
areas as well as the tree-lined residential, Cinnamon Gardens. Visit Fort,
the former British administrative center and military garrison, Sea Street -
the Goldsmith’s quarters in the heart of Pettah, the Bazaar area, where is
also a Hindu Temple, Gangarama Temple with elaborate stone carvings
and the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating back to 1749. Also visit the
BMICH, see the replica of Avukana Buddha and Independence Square.

Lunch own arrangement

Afternoon shopping in Colombo - visit Mlesna exquisite tea boutique, cashew


nut shop, ready made garments and all sorts at Majestic City. Visit the Lanka
Ceramics Centre, a place where you can buy “NORITAKE SET” or other ceramic
items, visit the ‘ODEL SHOP’. Visit ’BAREFOOT’, ’HOUSE OF FASHION’ and
'BEVERLY’ Street. Dinner & overnight stay in hotel
