Statement of the Problem
This study aims for the utilization of papaya’s phloem fibers latex as an
alternative adhesive that provides a more sustainable solution to the growing problem of
using synthetic adhesives. This study deals with the effectiveness of using such
products in the market and how sustainable it will be. Specifically, this study seeks to
find the answer to the following questions:
1. How effective is papaya latex-based glue in terms of:
1.1 Adhesion Quality
1.2 Spread Application
1.3 Drying Time
1.4 Odor
2. What are the recognized safety and potential toxicity concerns associated with
the use of papaya latex-based glue in terms of:
2.1 Skin Sensitivity and Irritation
2.2 Inhalation Risks
3. What is the significance of papaya latex-based glue as an alternative adhesive in
terms of:
3.1 Accessibility
3.2 Sustainability
3.3 Cost-efficient
4. What are the effects of papaya latex-based glue as an alternative adhesive in
terms of:
4.1 Environmental Considerations
4.2 Economic Opportunities
