4. In your country, do people feel that their names are

In Vietnam, the name makes the most significant contributions to
daily communication since it helps people remember each other
through their names. Not to mention, our names also represent us on
important documents so they need to be accurate to ensure our
security.
5. Are there many Vietnamese people who have the same
name as you?
→ Yes, I reckon that many people share the same name as me.
However, To me, that’s not a serious problem because I believe that
my name is a lovely one that many parents give their children. Anh I
think this can be a chance for us to have a similar thing to talk with
each other so my range of friends would be wider.
6. What are the differences in naming a child between the
past and now?
→ In the past, there was a stereotype (sự rập khuôn) when it came to
giving names to boys or girls. I mean, if there was a girl, her name
would have the word ‘thị' - in contrast, ‘văn' could be put into boys'
names. Not to mention, the name was often short and ugly since our
ancestors (tổ tiên) believed that it might be easier to raise those
children.
→ It is a different story now, it becomes kind of/pretty/quite free and
creative when you want to name a baby unless those names sound
good and meaningful.
