Why Dibrugarh is Suitable:
Cultural Context:
Dibrugarh has a rich cultural backdrop, with Assam's
music and folklore deeply connected to its rivers and
landscapes.
Hosting a music museum here could bridge global
music history with regional heritage, creating a unique
attraction.
Tourism Potential:
Dibrugarh is already a gateway to the Northeast and a
known destination for tea tourism.
Adding a music museum could enhance its appeal,
attracting music enthusiasts, tourists, and researchers.
Strategic Riverfront Location:
The Brahmaputra riverfront offers a serene and
inspiring setting, ideal for a space celebrating music
and culture.
With careful integration, the museum could
complement riverfront activities, blending culture,
leisure, and sustainability.
Connectivity:
Dibrugarh is well-connected by rail, road, and air. A
riverfront development with a music museum could
serve as a central attraction for both locals and
visitors.
