Sunflowers are special because they can follow the sun. The plant flowers in summer. Their yellow petals and exciting presence make us feel warm and
happy. Sunflowers can move their heads throughout the day, following the sun's path. They do this using a special ability called heliotropism.
Sunflowers have a special hormone that helps their cells grow longer on the side that's in the shade. It makes them bend towards the sun. This clever
trick helps the sunflowers get as much sunlight as possible for their growth. When you see fields of sunflowers, you'll notice they all face the same way,
towards the sun. It's a beautiful example of how plants adapt to make the most of their surroundings. When the growth of the flower stalk stops and
the flower is mature, the heliotropism also stops. After that, the flower faces east from that moment onward.
