Super Cat Hat

Yarn
60 yds/55 m Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick
and Quick in Raspberry (or similar super
bulky yarn)

Needles
US 15/10 mm 16 in circular needle
OR size needed to obtain gauge

Notions
Stitch marker
Tapestry needle

Gauge
9 sts and 13 rounds = 4in/10cm in
Stockinette St
Pattern Sizes
Brim Child [Adult] to fit head circumferences:
CO 40 [44] sts. Pm and join in the round, 18-19.5 [21-22.5] in
being careful not to twist sts. Work in k1, p1
rib for 6 [8] rounds.
Abbreviations
Body CO – cast on
Work in Stockinette St (knit every round) k – knit
until hat measures 7 [8] inches from CO edge. p – purl
pm – place marker
st(s) – stitch(es)
Finishing
Cut yarn, leaving a long tail. Divide sts in half
and pull the cable through so that 20 [22] sts Video Tutorial Link
are on each needle. Kitchener stitch the top How to Kitchener Stitch
of the hat closed (please see this video).
Weave in ends and block, if desired.
