My name is Zihan.Yin. A second year student majored in chemistry with
teaching in University of Strathclyde. I am studying chemistry and education
so as to become a charming chemistry teacher. I always try my best to
explain knowledge to my classmates clearly and patiently. I want to be a
chemistry teacher who is able to explain chemistry principles and phenomena
clearly and could lead children to develop chemistry thinking patterns
successfully. Furthermore, I also want to be a teacher who is always caring
about every student and is always there to help students with both physical
and mental problems. Moreover, I want to be the person that could make all
the students group up healthily and happily and is able to make their dreams
come true.
I want to apply for chemistry teacher because when I am in Senior one in
high school, I often felt depressed and I was not interested in everything. My
chemistry teacher noticed this phenomenon and tried her best to make me
feel better. She also influenced me and made me find the bright sides of
everything around me. She not only inspired my motivation on studying
chemistry but also lighted up my passion towards life. If she was not there, I
would still continue to be depressed. I want to be a teacher like her. I have
learned that your school has many clubs, such as musical instrument club,
singing club, dancing club and acting club. There are many students in those
clubs in your school. Playing Liuqin ---a traditional musical instrument, singing,
dancing and acting are my hobbies, too. I always consider how to put those
hobbies into chemistry teaching. I think that could make my students to take
more interests in learning chemistry. Moreover, I want to help them to learn
efficiently so that they could balance the time of learning cultural subjects and
developing their hobbies.
I think I fit this job. First, I can explain chemistry principles correctly and
clearly. I was awarded an excellent prize in chemistry teaching competition in
my first year at university in the Capital Normal University in China. Besides, I
have great chemistry laboratory skills. I always try to explore the nature of
chemistry phenomena. In my first year in University, my average grade in
chemistry laboratory is 90%. Moreover, as a member in a music club, it is my
duty to cooperate with others and to take an active part in helping others to
make musical melodies beautifully. Due to studying in the music club, I have
become a person who is warm, passionate, having collective sense of honor
and always willing to help others. Furthermore, I am a worker in Chinese
scholars&students association(CSSA) in my University in Strathclyde now. I
have developed communication skills and problem solving ability here as I
always need to meet the requirements of the participants in the activities
organized by CSSA.
I have already known being a teacher can be tired and stressed. I have
made up my mind to overcome those difficulties using my passion in
educating. I have also figured out being a chemistry teacher can’t make me
to earn much money. However, I am ready to spend less money on myself and
throw more energy into educating in order to lead every students grow up
healthily and achieve their dreams. This is my dream which always matters
more. By doing what I want to do, hard work could also be sweet like honey. I
am going to develop my ability not only to get good grades on the paper test,
interview and trial lectures for the applicants in your school but also to
prepare myself better to achieve my dream of being a good teacher.
