Module+3+Leveling+Example+Solutions

The document provides solutions to various examples of differential leveling, vertical control leveling, centerline profile leveling, and constructing contour lines. It includes arithmetic and accuracy checks for each example, indicating whether the surveys are acceptable or need to be conducted again. The final section briefly describes the process of drawing contour lines based on established elevation points.

Example #6 Constructing Contour Lines (Module 3 page 39)

The contour lines are drawn by locating the contour interval points between every pair
of spot elevations in the horizontal, vertical and diagonal directions. Once all the points
for a contour interval (i.e. 51 mASL) are established, they are joined with a smooth line.
