Task 1: familiarize the computer system and its function.

Ans:
COMPUTER SYSTEM
COMPUTER SYSTEM
Definition: Is a collection of entities(hardware, software and liveware) that
are designed to receive, process, manage and present information in a
meaningful format.

 Fegure of computer system.

7 functions of computer.
 The functional components of a computer work together to execute
instructions, process data, and perform various tasks. Here's an overview
of how each component functions:
 Central Processing Unit (CPU):
 Memory (RAM):
 Storage Devices:
 Input Devices:
 Output Devices:
 Motherboard:
 Graphics Processing Unit (GPU):
Process of computer system
Image of cpu:

 The CPU interprets, processes and executes instructions, most often

from the hardware and software programs running on the device. The
CPU performs arithmetic, logic, and other operations to transform
data input into more usable information output.

1. Inpute device:
 Image of inputdevices:
 Input devices are hardware components that allow users to interact with a
computer or digital system by providing data or control signals. These
devices convert physical actions or input from the user into a format that
the computer can process.

list of common input devices:

1. Keyboard
2. Mouse
3. Touchpad
4. Touchscreen
5. Scanner
6. Microphone

Explanation of keyboard:

A computer keyboard is an input device used to enter characters and functions into the
computer system by pressing buttons, or keys. It is the primary device used to enter
text. A keyboard typically contains keys for individual letters, numbers and special
characters, as well as keys for specific functions.

Explanation of mouse:

A mouse is used to select items on the screen and to give instructions to your computer
to perform tasks. A mouse has at least two buttons, called the left mouse button and the
right mouse button. Most models of mouse also include a scroll wheel which allows you
to easily scroll web pages.

Explanation of scanner :

A scanner is a device that captures images from photographic prints, posters, magazine
pages and similar sources for computer editing and display. Scanners work by
converting the image on the document into digital information that can be stored on a
computer through optical character recognition

2. processing device:
 Image of processing device:
 A processing device, like your computer's central processing unit
(CPU), is the brain of your device. It performs calculations, executes
instructions, and manages data flow. It's essential because it's
responsible for running all the programs and tasks you use daily.
Explanation of cpu:
The Central Processing Unit (CPU) is the primary component of a computer that acts as
its “control center.” The CPU, also referred to as the “central” or “main” processor, is a
complex set of electronic circuitry that runs the machine's operating system and apps.

Explanation of motherboard:

A motherboard is the main printed circuit board (PCB) in a computer. The motherboard
is a computer's central communications backbone connectivity point, through which all
components and external peripherals connect.

Explain video card:

A sound card is a computer component responsible for generating and recording audio.
It enables users to connect analog speakers, headphones and microphones to their
computer.

3.Output devices:

 An 'Output Device' in the context of Computer Science refers to a
physical component of a computer system that displays or presents
information to the user. It includes devices such as displays, which
allow users to see visual output, as well as other devices like
speakers, which provide audio output.
Explanation of printer:
A printer is a device that accepts text and graphic output from a computer and transfers
the information to paper.

Explanation of speaker:

4. storage device:
Image of storage devices
 The storage unit is a part of the computer system which is employed
to store the information and instructions to be processed. A storage
device is an integral part of the computer hardware which stores
information/data to process the result of any computational work.
Without a storage device, a computer would not be able to run or
even boot up. Or in other words, we can say that a storage device is
hardware that is used for storing, porting, or extracting data files. It
can also store information/data both temporarily and permanently .
