#Answer the following questions:


1. What is a query? Name the parts of a query window.
Ans. A query is a database object that allows you to retrieve information from one or more
database table that meet a specific condition or criteria is specified by you.The two Parts of a
Query Window are -

• Design Area-or the top portion-displays the fields, tables, and queries that you may want to
use in the query
• Grid-or the lower portion-contains columns where you can set up the fields.

2. What do you understand by Criteria?


Ans. The Criteria contains the condition on the basis of which record will be filtered in the query
output.

3.Differentiate between a Form and Report.


Ans.
•Form
A structured document that collects and organizes information by providing spaces for data
entry. Forms can be used for input and output, and are often based on a single record, such as
data about a customer or student. Forms are user-friendly and can help streamline data
collection.
•Report
A tool that presents information and findings on a specific topic in a clear, concise, and
organized manner. Reports are used for output, and are typically used to convey information to
a specific audience, such as a client or supervisor. Reports can be presented in a graphical
manner and often take up one page.

4. What is a Form?how is it useful?


Ans. A form is a database object that you can use to enter, edit, or display data from a table or a
query. You can use forms to control access to data, such as which fields of data are displayed.
For example, certain users may not need to see all of the fields in a table.

5. How can you export a Report to a word file.


Ans. Steps to export a Report:
• Click on the drop down arrow of the View button on the Home tab and select Print Preview
from the drop down list of options.
• The Report will opened in the Print Preview layout and the ribbon will display the command
related to the print preview layout.
• On the data group,click on the drop-down arrow of the more button and select Word.
• The Export-RTF File dialogue box will appear on the screen.Select the location where you
want to save the report and give a valid name to the report.You will also find some export option
select the option as per your requirement.
• click ok.
• A final screen will appear on the screen notifying you about put the successful completion of
the exporting process.
• Click on the close button .
