CARL
LOAD MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
MOBILE EQUIPMENT
WHAT IS CARL?
CARL (Computer Assisted Remote Lifting) is the standard control
platform for all of Lift Systems’ current Mobile Equipment Line. Using
state-of-art-technology, the operator is informed of all important aspects
of the unit and lift such as boom angle, boom extension, and system
pressures, at all times.

The CARL display module interacts with all functions of the machine
and provides feedback to the operator in an easy to read and easy to
navigate platform. Radio Remote Control is also an option with the
CARL System. All functions of the unit can be performed from a belly
pack—emergency stop button standard.

Engine speed is controlled through the CARL Control System

automatically to save fuel, yet provides additional power when needed.
Manual throttle adjustment control is retained to allow the operator to
regulate engine speed if desired. Additionally, the electric over
hydraulic nature of the CARL System allows the operator to change the
speed of certain functions to best suit the task at hand.

Unsafe situations are prevented with the CARL System. A load

sensing pin in the counterweight box prevents tipping and unsafe
conditions based on the amount of counterweight added and
counterweight position.

Most existing Lift Systems’ Mobile Equipment can be retrofitted with the
CARL System. Contact your representative for details and pricing!
