Plotting Table is used for plotting position.

Navigation is used for track of ship.

Charts is used for find the direction of the ship at sea.

NO stands for Navigating Officer.

Difference between the levels of successive high and low water Height of tide.

Range of tide is a low water horizontal plane below which tide seldom fails.

The Vertical distance between the levels of the sea is High water.

Ship inherent magnetism and the North shown by compass is known as True bearing.

There are two types of compass used in Navy

Sonar helps us to prevent the ship fron grounding.

Sextant is used to find the direction.
