Overview of tourist destination
There are eight divisions in Bangladesh. The divisions of Bangladesh are Dhaka division ,
chattogram division , rajshahi division , Khulna division , Barisal division , sylhet division ,
rangpur division , mymensingh division. In this step tourist attractions are described according to
division.

Dhaka division
Dhaka, one of the biggest cities in the world, serves as the political, cultural, and economic hub
of Bangladesh as well as its capital. In addition to being a crucial center for international trade in
South Asia, it also serves as a significant point of interest in the Bay of Bengal and is flanked by
the four most significant rivers in the nation. Being the historic capital of Bengal under the
Mughals, it still has some magnificent and distinctive Mughal architecture, which adds to the
city's regal atmosphere.
https://www.holidify.com/places/dhaka/

Since the first millennium, people have lived in the Dhaka region.
As the Mughal Empire's provincial capital and commercial hub, an early modern city grew starti
ng in the 17th century. For 75 years (1608–39 and 1660–
704), Dhaka served as the capital of Mughal Bengal, which had only begun to industrialize.
It was one of the wealthiest towns in the world and the center of Bengal's muslin trade.
In honor of the former governing emperor Jahangir, the Mughal city was given the name Jahangi
rnagar (City of Jahangir). For both riverine and maritime trade, the Port of Dhaka served as a sign
ificant trading hub.
The city was embellished by the Mughals with beautifully laid gardens, tombs, mosques, palaces
, and forts.
The city was once referred to as the Eastern Venice.Following the Liberation War, it was designa
ted as the capital of an independent Bangladesh in 1971.

SHOLOANI BEACH.
At the Gazaria police station in Munshiganj district, around 50 kilometers from Dhaka, is where
you may find Sholanni Saikat, now known as Sholoani Saikat. Daulatpur was the previous name
for this location. The Meghna River's dams made of CC blocks, built to stop river erosion,
promote the area's attractiveness and draw in tourists and wildlife enthusiasts. This location has
rapidly grown in popularity among bikers as a result of its close proximity to Dhaka. You can
take pleasure in a boat trip on the Meghna River, floating in the white clouds in the infinitely
blue sky, the beauty of the wandering sunset, or the alluring shape of the moon in the lovely
surroundings of the 5 km long Sholanni beach. In addition, there is an opportunity to rent boat
and and float on the meghna.

If someone wants to go there they have to take bus from gulistan in the capital of Dhaka to
bhaberchar bus stand and then by reserving a cng anyone will be able to reach there.

limitations
The popularity of Munsiganj Sholoani Beach as a tourist destination could be affected by a
number of variables, including:

Lack of infrastructure might make it challenging for visitors to the beach to visit and enjoy it. For
example, the beach may not have adequate roads, transit, lodging, or tourism facilities.

Safety issues: Tourists may be discouraged from going to the beach due to safety issues
including drowning or water pollution.

Lack of promotion: Munsiganj Sholoani Beach may not be adequately promoted as a tourist site,
which has the effect of raising little awareness among prospective visitors.
Seasonal factors: Because of meteorological circumstances like monsoon rains or excessive heat,
the attraction of the beach may only last for a certain season, making it challenging to draw
visitors all year long.

By enhancing the facilities and offering recreational activities such as surfing ,parasailing and
providing beach umbrella can give the tourist a better experience and promoting the
beach ,developing accommodation such as hotel ,guest houses and resorts to stay, ensuring safety
and security to attract the tourist

NIKLI HAOR
In Bangladesh's Kishoreganj district, Nikli Haor is situated in Nikli Upazila. It is roughly 110
kilometers from Dhaka, the nation's capital. In addition to Mithamain, Austagram, and Itna
Upazilas, this haor's periphery also includes Nikli Upazila. It is one of Bangladesh's biggest
freshwater wetlands and a well-liked vacation spot. One of the factors contributing to the
development in tourism in this region is the simple rail and road connections to the capital
Dhaka. Tourists can now visit Haor for longer periods of time thanks to the construction of
various residential hotels in Nikli. The number of visitors multiplies during the monsoon when
this haor is submerged under water.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikli_Haor

It is advisable to visit after the rainy season if you want to examine the shape of the water in the
Haor. Therefore, July through September is the best time to visit Nikli. But the water level is
lower in September. Additionally, you are welcome to travel to any region of the haor at any
time of the
year.Nikli Haor can be reached in a single day from Dhaka.Nikli Haor is reachable from Dhaka b
y bus or train.Tourists can rent a boat and explore the vast waterways of Nikli Haor.Fishing is a
popular activity in Nikli Haor, Tourists can rent a bicycle and take a ride around the wetland
area. Tourists can also visit the nearby villages and experience the local lifestyle, culture, and
cuisine of the people living around Nikli Haor.

https://www.travelmate.com.bd/nikli-haor/#:~:text=In%20Dhaka%2C%20you%20can%20reach

%20reach,11%20Indus%20early%20morning%20train.

The effects of tourism on the environment and nearby populations can be both favorable and
unfavorable, like those of any other human activity. If not managed sustainably, tourism can
affect Nikli Haor even though it can assist the local economy. Nikli Haor could be harmed by
tourism in the following ways:

Environmental damage: Unplanned and unchecked tourism can lead to environmental damage,
such as habitat destruction, water pollution, and soil erosion, all of which have a negative effect
on the biodiversity of wetlands.

Overcrowding: If Nikli Haor receives an excessive number of visitors, there may be

overcrowding, which could stress the locals' quality of life and the environment. Tourism
amenities and facilities might deteriorate as a result of overcrowding.

Waste production: Traveling can produce a lot of trash.Visitors may use the water in the haor for
washing, cleaning, and other purposes, leading to the contamination of water sources.
Therefore, it is critical to manage tourism in a sustainable manner that strikes a balance between
visitor needs and environmental preservation. This can be accomplished by taking steps like regu
lating the amount of visitors, educating tourists about the value of the wetlands, encouraging safe
travel habits, and enforcing laws to protect the ecosystem .If it is able to solve those problems,it
will play an important role in economic and moral development of the country.

BANGABANDHU SHEIKH MUJIBUR RAHMAN NOVO THEATRE
On Bijoy Sharani Avenue in the Tejgaon neighborhood of Dhaka, Bangladesh, there is a
planetarium called Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Novo Theatre.it was established on
5th September 2004.Bhashani Novo Theatre was its former name. The Bangabandhu Sheikh
Mujibur Rahman Novo Theatre Bill 2010 gave it autonomy.[4] The Ministry of Science and
Communication Technology of the Government of Bangladesh gave the space center its official
opening.Architect Ali Imam created the planetarium. Earth and its calm blue sky are reproduced
in the Planetarium dome. The latest technology was used in the construction of this dome-shaped
theater, giving patrons the opportunity to soar into space and experience the thrills of an
interplanetary adventure in a three-dimensional setting. The projection of moving pictures of
planets and stars onto a large-screen dome at an angle of 120 degrees from the curved ceiling,
which depicts the sky, creates an immersive environment. Its areas range in size from its 21-meter
dome, which seats 275 people, to three-meter inflatable and movable domes, where people sit on
the ground. The entire structure is built on 5.46 acres of land. There are three different exhibit
types at this planetarium. A virtual reality display of stars, planets, and other celestial bodies is
presented by They Journey to Infinity. The Grand Canyon discusses the Garikhad settlement
tribe that lived in The Grand Canyon four thousand years ago, whereas Bangladesh presents
Bangabandhu Sheik Mujibur Rahman's talk on the 7th of March.
To view the spectacle, viewers do not need to look up into the dome. Instead, they have the
impression that everything around them is being shown by 150 projectors while they view space
live. A new capsule simulator, a smart-step floor, and 3D video have been added to the
planetarium. The planetarium's Nuclear Industrial Information Centre was added in 2013.

and economic growth of Bangladesh, it is different in terms of it’s focus and scope. The Novo
Theatre aims to promote cultural activities and events within the country, while Bangladeshi
tourism focuses on attracting visitors to explore the country's unique cultural and natural

LALBAGH FORT
Lalbagh Fort is one of the most visited sites in Dhaka.it is one of the most recognized symbols of
Mughal rule in
Bengal. The construction of the fort was begun in 1678 by the Mughal prince Muhammad Azam
Shah, the third son of Aurangzeb.

Inside the Lalbagh Fort, there are several structures and monuments of historical and
architectural significance. Some of the main features of the fort are
Diwan-i-Aam: A large audience hall used by the Mughal governors to hear the complaints and
grievances of the common people.
The Diwan-i Khas: A private audience hall where the governor would meet with important
officials and dignitaries.
The Tomb of Pari Bibi: A mausoleum built for Pari Bibi, the daughter of Shaista Khan, who was
the governor of Bengal during the Mughal period.
The Mosque: A small mosque located inside the fort.
The Lalbagh Fort Museum: A museum housed in the main gate of the fort, which contains a
collection of artifacts and relics from the MughalpreserveThere are some tunnels in the fort
which are now sealed. It is said that two of the tunnels lead to now ruined Zinzira Fort which was
on the other side of the Buriganga.
Being one of the tourist attractions, some problems can be noticed here.
main problem with Lalbagh Fort is that it has been neglected and not properly maintained over
the years. As a result, the fort has deteriorated and many of its historical structures are in a state
of disrepair. The lack of proper maintenance has also led to issues such as waterlogging, cracks
in walls, and damage to the archaeological features.
Another issue with Lalbagh Fort is the encroachment of its surrounding area. Over the years, the
fort has been surrounded by commercial and residential buildings, which have encroached upon
the fort's land and reduced its open space.
Furthermore, there have been concerns about the management and preservation of the fort's
historical artifacts, as some of them have been damaged or stolen.

Efforts have been made by the government and various organizations to address these issues and
preserve the fort's historical and cultural significance, but more needs to be done to ensure its
long-term preserve

WARI BATESHWAR
A historical site called Wari-Bateshwar can be found in central Bangladesh's Narshingdi district.
An ancient city's ruins may be found at the location, which was inhabited between the sixth and
seventeenth centuries CE.

Coins, ceramics, jewelry, and terracotta figurines have all been found during excavations at
Wari-Bateshwar, which point to a long and intricate cultural history. The location has been
recognized as a significant hub for regional trade and business, and there is evidence of
commercial links with ancient Persia, Rome, and China. The significance of Wari-Bateshwar in
the history of Bangladesh and the Indian. subcontinent has led to calls for its preservation and
recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
A huge fortified citadel from the fourth century BCE is one of the most important findings at
Wari-Bateshwar. This shows that the location once served as a significant political and military
hub.The location is important because it shows signs of early urbanization and the development
of civilization in South Asia. With the ruins of a Buddhist monastery, Hindu temples, and a
mosque, it is thought to have been a center of study and culture. Since the site has been
designated a protected area by the government of Bangladesh, both visitors and archaeologists
visit frequently.
People can go there by bus to reach morjal village at belabo thana in narsindhi district from
mohakhali and then they can hire CNG .

PANAM CITY
The archeological remains of Panam City, an ancient city, can be found in Bangladesh's Sonarga
on, Narayanganj. It is one of Bangladesh's oldest cities still in existence.
Sonargaon Panam City is a historical site located in Bangladesh, about 25 kilometers away from
the capital city of Dhaka. The city was once a prosperous trading center and served as the capital
of the ancient kingdom of Bengal during the 13th century. Today, Sonargaon Panam City is
known for its well-preserved architecture and historical landmarks.

The city is home to a number of notable landmarks, including the Goaldi Mosque, the Panam
Nagar, and the Folk Arts and Crafts Museum. The Goaldi Mosque is an impressive example of
Mughal architecture, while the Panam Nagar is a group of abandoned buildings that are over a
century old. The Folk Arts and Crafts Museum is home to a collection of traditional Bengali
handicrafts.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panam_Nagar

From Gulistan in the city of Dhaka, someone can board a direct bus going to Narayanganj. He'll
be dropped off close to the Sonargaon Mosque at Mograpara Point. This trip might take about
one and a half hours. then hire a battery-powered auto-rickshaw to transport to Panam Nagar in
only ten minutes from there.
However, despite its historical significance, Sonargaon Panam City faces several problems as a
tourist destination. One of the main problems is a lack of infrastructure, including poor
transportation links and a shortage of hotels and restaurants. This makes it difficult for tourists to
access the city and find suitable accommodation and dining options.Another problem is a lack of
maintenance and preservation of the historical landmarks. Many of the buildings in the Panam
Nagar are in a state of disrepair, and there is a lack of funding for their restoration. This means
that some of the city's most important historical sites are at risk of being lost.

Overall, Sonargaon Panam City has a rich cultural and historical heritage, but it faces several
challenges as a tourist destination. If the necessary steps are taken to improve infrastructure and
preserve the city's historical landmarks, it has the potential to become a popular destination for
visitors interested in history and architecture.

KHOIYACGARA WATERFALLS
A steep waterfall located in Mirsharai, Chittagong, Bangladesh, is called Khoiyachora Waterfall.
In the Mirsarai upazila, there are numerous additional waterfalls. One of the biggest waterfalls in
this hilly region is the Khoiyachora waterfall and its corridor.Seven large waterfalls (cascades)
and numerous lone steps make up the Khoiyachora waterfall. The waterfall is known as
"Khoiyachora Waterfall" since it is located in Khoiyachora union of Mirsarai Upazila.

At the Khoiyachora Union of Mirsharai Upazila, on the north side of the Baratakia market, is the
Dhaka–Chittagong highway. It is 4.2 kilometers to the east of the water. The village close to the
fountain can be reached by the Dhaka-Chittagong route, on foot from the side, or by using local
transportation. However, there is no provision for the remainder of the route to get to the
fountain's main stream at the foot of the hill.

Many people believe that this fountain was created about 50 years ago as a result of hillside
diversions; prior to that, there was no waterfall. After designating 293.61 hectares of the Kunda
Hat (Baratakia) block as part of the Baraiyadhala Block National Park, the government decided
to incorporate it in the Khoiyachora Waterfall National Park in 2010.

One of the main goals of the 2017 ecotourism development project, "Ramgarh-Sitakunda-
Reserve Forest," Khoiyachora Fountain, which was carried out on behalf of the Government of
the People's Republic of Bangladesh, is the preservation of the Khoiyachora Waterfall.

Sometimes people become very harmful for this place when they Don't maintain the rules
properly
Here are some of the potential harms in more detail:

Visitors may leave behind trash, which can pollute the waterfalls and its surroundings. The
presence of large groups of people can disturb the wildlife in the area and alter their
behavior.overcrowding is also another problem.Too many visitors can put stress on the
ecosystem and degrade the natural beauty of the area.if tourism to the waterfalls is not managed
sustainably,it could lead to long-term damage to the local environment and economy.

HATIA ISLAND
Nijhum Dip, also known as the "Silent Island" in Bengali, is a small island that is part of the
Hatiya upazila. It is located in Bangladesh's Noakhali District. It was formerly known as Char
Osmani, Baluar Char, and Golden Island. In 2016, Nijhum Dwip had a population of over 25,000.
This island covers 14,050 acres (5,686 hectares) in total.Former minister Amirul Islam Kalam
gave it the moniker "nijhum dip" in 1975 in recognition of its seclusion and placid character.

The island is surrounded by the Bay of Bengal and is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna,
including a variety of migratory birds, deer, and monkeys.Nujhum Dip is a popular destination
for tourists, who come to enjoy the natural beauty of the island and explore the marine life in the
surrounding waters.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nijhum_Dwip
Nijhum Dip, an island located in the Bay of Bengal in Bangladesh, is considered by many to be
an underrated tourist destination. There are several reasons why this may be the case:

Lack of promotion: Nijhum Dip has not been adequately promoted as a tourist destination, either
locally or internationally. The lack of promotion can result in fewer people knowing about the
island's attractions and therefore fewer visitors.
Lack of infrastructure: As mentioned earlier, Nijhum Dip lacks adequate infrastructure for
tourism, including transportation, accommodations, and other basic amenities. This can
discourage potential tourists from visiting the island.
Limited accessibility: The island's location makes it difficult to access, as visitors must first
travel to the mainland and then take a boat to reach the island. This can be a deterrent for some
tourists who prefer more convenient travel options.
Safety concerns: There have been reports of safety concerns on the island, including theft and
other crimes. Moreover, the island's location makes it vulnerable to natural disasters such as
storms and cyclones.
Limited activities: Nijhum Dip offers limited activities for tourists, which can limit the length of
their stay and reduce their overall experience on the island.
Overall, these factors have contributed to Nijhum Dip being an underrated tourist destination.
However, with proper infrastructure development and promotion, the island has the potential to
become a popular and sustainable tourist destination.
SHUVOLONG WATERFALLS

mountainous river Sangu abruptly drops roughly 25 to 30 feet.
The falls are three hours' worth of trekking from Remakri, Thanchi Upazila, Bandarban District,
in a secluded location. Tindu, which is three hours by boat from Thanchi, is situated three hours
by boat from Remakri on the Sangu River. As a tourist attraction, Nafa-khum is not very well
known.

the northeastern Bay of Bengal, roughly 9 km south of the tip of the Cox's Bazar-Teknaf
peninsula. Chera Dwip is the name of a small neighboring island that is cut off by high tide. It is
located at the mouth of the Naf River, about 8 kilometers (5 miles) west of Myanmar's northwest
coast.

Saint Martin's, a little island is the only coral island in Bangladesh. The visible land mass
recedes with a tide. It may be found in Teknaf, also referred to as the Pearl of the Sea. The most
secure method of transit is the government-owned ferry, which takes around two hours to cross
each direction. Visitors are welcome to stay for a day or two, stop by for a while, and then depart
the same day. The ferry's schedule makes one and a half days of sightseeing feasible. Swimming
in the crystal-clear water, snorkeling in the lagoon, and enjoying yourself in the picturesque
backdrop of a blue sky and coconut trees will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience andMake it
appetizing by adding variation and taste to the fish. There are many hotels, guest rooms, and
dining establishments. There is a scuba diving center here as well as a sea turtle nursery. A
person may walk the entire island in a few hours because it is so small. On the island, there are
about 8,000 residents who work as fishermen.

NATORE RAJBARI
In Bangladesh's Natore, the Natore Rajbari, also called Pagla Raja's Palace or Natore Palace, was
a notable royal residence. It served as both the Rajshahi Raj family's home and administrative
headquarters. When the famed queen Rani Bhabani moved in, she extended the palace and the
estate after the passing of her husband. Midway through the 18th century, prominent
philanthropist and zamindar Rani Bhabani constructed the palace.
Ramjivan, a son of Rani Bhabani, initially constructed the Natore Rajbari as a modest mansion.
Prince Dighapatia later added on to and refurbished the structure. The main palace, guest homes,
temples, gardens, and a lake are just a few of the structures that make up the royal complex,
which spans over 27 acres.
Natore Rajbari developed into a hub for the area's academic and cultural pursuits during the
British colonial era. The palace was renowned for hosting spectacular Durga Puja celebrations
that drew guests from all over Bengal. The Natore Rajbari was left unattended after India was
divided in 1947, leading to its decline. The palace has been restored and preserved ever since the
Bangladeshi government designated it as a protected monument in 1975.
Natore Rajbari is now a well-liked tourist site and a representation of Bangladesh's rich cultural
history.

PUTHIA TEMPLE
In Puthia Upazila, Rajshahi District, Bangladesh, there is a collection of noteworthy historic
Hindu temples called the Puthia Temple Complex. The majority of Bangladesh's old temples are
found here, which is 23 kilometers east of Rajshahi city. Hindu Zamindar Rajas of the Puthia Raj
family, renowned philanthropists in Rajshahi, constructed the temples. The temples were
constructed out of terracotta in a variety of designs that mixed other architectural influences with
the usual Jor-bangla style. The complex includes the Rajbari, or palace, of the Raja of Puthia as
well as the Dol Mancha. The temples are arranged around a lake on a broad lawn.
The Puthia Raj family was established by a holy man named Bhatsacharya, who lived in the 16th
century. Raja Man Singh, governor of the Mughal emperor Akbar, confiscated the Jagir of the
refractory pathan jagirdar of Rajshahi named Lashker Khan and bestowed the Zamindary on the
saintly Bhatsacharya for his learning, but he declined. However, his son Pitambar was granted
the Lashkarpur estate permanently. On his death, his son Nilambar received the title of Raja from
Emperor Jahangir. The Puthia Royal Family estate was the second largest zamindary and the
wealthiest in British Bengal. After India's partition, the then Pakistani government abolished the
zamindary system and confiscated all Hindu properties. The Royal Family migrated to India
shortly afterwards.

SUNDARBAN
The Sundarbans is a vast mangrove forest located in the delta region of the Ganges,
Brahmaputra, and Meghna rivers, straddling the border between India and Bangladesh. An
estimated 10,000 km2 (3,900 sq mi) is covered by the Sundarbans mangrove forest, of which
6,517 km2 (2,516 sq mi) in Bangladesh's Khulna Division and 3,483 km2 (1,345 sq mi) in West
Bengal's South 24 Parganas and North 24 Parganas districts are covered by woods.[6] Sundri
(Heritiera fomes) and gewa (Excoecaria agallocha) are the two tree species that are most
common. 290 bird, 120 fish, 42 mammal, 35 reptile, and 8 amphibian species are among the 453
species of animals and wildlife that call the woodlands home.[7] Despite a complete ban on all
wildlife hunting and capture (apart from fish and some invertebrates), there has been a constant
pattern of dwindling biodiversity or extinction of species over the past century, and the
ecological quality of the forest is declining.
The Sundarbans is known for its diverse wildlife, including the Bengal tiger, saltwater crocodile,
and a variety of bird species.
The Sundarbans is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is also a Ramsar Wetland of
International Importance. The forest is a critical habitat for several endangered species, including
the Royal Bengal Tiger, Indian python, and estuarine crocodile.
The local population in the Sundarbans region is heavily dependent on the forest's resources for
their livelihood, including fishing, honey collection, and woodcutting. However, due to the
increasing pressure from human activities and climate change, the Sundarbans' ecosystem is
under threat.
Efforts are being made by both India and Bangladesh to conserve the Sundarbans, including the
establishment of protected areas and the promotion of sustainable livelihoods for the local
communities

KARAMJAL WILDLIFE SANCTUARY
With its wooden trail, wildlife, and picturesque mangrove scenery, Karamjal Wildlife Breeding
Centre serves as the major entryway to the Sundarbans and, in some ways, serves to represent the
entire Sundarbans environment. With over 100,000 visitors annually, Karamjal is one of the most
popular tourist destinations, and this number is rising quickly. This study looks on the current
state, issues, and future of tourism in Karamjal as well as the tourists' perspective on providing
better management facilities there. During the month of January 2018, 62 respondents were
chosen at random and questioned utilizing a semi-structured questionnaire on both the weekends
and the workdays. Deer (32.14%) and crocodile (19.64%) were the top two key attractions,
according to most respondents. Damaged wooden walk trails, a lack of nutritious food and clean
water, a lack of facilities for trained guides, animals, inadequate accessibility, and other major
issues were among those we discovered to be most important from our research. The majority of
visitors (61.29%) are dissatisfied with both what they expected and what they received. The
aforementioned issues must be resolved if Karamjal hopes to maintain its reputation as one of
our nation's top ecotourism destinations.

QASBA MOSQUE
The early 16th-century nine-domed mosque and archaeological site known as Qasba Mosque is
situated in Bangladesh's Barisal District.[1] It is situated in the Gournadi Upazila's Qasba
Village. It bears the village's name. The mosque, which has nine domes overall, is strikingly
similar to Bagerhat's Nine Dome Mosque. The Sultanate of Bengal's Qasba village was a
significant hub and the residence of several powerful Muslim households.[2] During Alauddin
Husain Shah's rule in the beginning of the 16th century, the mosque was built. Given the obvious
resemblance, it is believed to be modeled after the earlier Nine Dome Mosque constructed by
Khan Jahan Ali at Khalifatabad. Despite the mosque's Sultanate roots, the Mughal faujdar of
Bakla, Sabi Khan, who constructed numerous mosques and roads in the area, is sometimes
credited by the locals with building it. The mosque is a landmark that the Department of
Archaeology protects even though it is currently in use.

Archaeology.Built between 1740 and 1756 AD, Mahilara Sarkar Math is a 200-year-old high
temple that was created during the rule of Nawab Alivardi Khan in the Bangla Nawab Era. Lord
Shiva was originally intended to live in the temple. It is without a doubt a work of art, and its
lofty monastery is comparable to the Pisa Tower in Italy in that it has a small tilt as a result of the
construction method and wear and tear from years of use. The temple is still surviving despite
being assaulted numerous times, including during the war of 1971 and by local anti-Hindu
militants.

SHOSHI LODGE
In the town of Mymensingh, there is a lavish Jamidar house called Shoshi lodge. Initially
(approximately 150 years back) this massive house was built by the Jomidar SurjoKanto of
Muktagachha. He had an adopted son named ShoshiKanto. The king named this lodge after him.
Shoshikanto was the last inheritor of that ruler family. The architecture of the lodge has a touch
of Europe. A statue of Greek goddess Venus was installed in front of the palace which was built
using marble stone.
The significant earthquake of 1897 caused this Shoshi lodge to be moved after it was initially
built. During that earthquake a lot of Jomidar bari from Bangladesh got damaged (i.e. Rani
Bhobani Rajbari). This lodge wasn’t an exception from that natural calamity.

Mymensingh. The Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb chose Muhammad Nasiruddin to be the first
Nawab. Khwaja Ahsanullah, the final Nawab, received the title from British Queen Victoria.
Nawab Khwaja Ahsanullah erected Hasan Manzil in 1859. The edifice is a brick two-story
building with a verandah all around. On the east side, there lies the main entrance. Both the first
level and the ground floor include a large number of rooms. On the first floor was the Nawab's

Recommendation

Based on the finding of thr report the following recommendations are made for developing the
tourist destination .
Infrastructure
The infrastructure of our country should be developed .More roads and highway should built.
more hotels and restaurants should established in most of the destinations .one of the important
need is rail connection between chattogram and cox’s bazar.

Superstructure
Developing superstructure like hotel, motels, inns, restaurants, are also important for tourist
destinations.there are to many hotels in cox’s bazar but in other destination like
rangamati, sylhet, noyakhali there is no qualified hotels, parks, game zone.this things should be
established .
Investment
The commercials should provide the credit at reasonable terms so that investor can invest more
in this sector.
Training
Unskilled tour operator should get proper trainings. Otherwise it is not possible to improve
tourism industry .
Rules and regulation in visa
Tourists face various problems and delays in obtaining visas. If these problems are removed, the
arrival of tourists in the country will increase to a greater extent.
Eco tourism
Due to excessive tourist travel during the season, it is having an adverse effect on eco-tourism in
other tourist areas including Cox's Bazar. it should be solved, otherwise the sustainability of the
environment will not be maintained.
Marketing and promotions
Bangladesh has not invested enough to promoting its tourism industry to attract international
tourists and that’s why international tourist have little idea about our tourist attractions and
Bangladesh is lagging behind in their list of preference .so taking proper steps to promote our
tourist destination will make this industry more developed
Prices fluctuations
During peak tourist season prices of accomodation , transportation and other activities are related
to tour and travel increase .this problem should be solved . otherwise it will be the biggest threat
for our tourism industry.
Over all those recommendation can help to take the necessary steps to develop tourism industry
of Bangladesh .
Conclusion
A promising industry in Bangladesh is tourism. It is a sector that is expanding and contributing
more to GDP.
The sector can become sustainable with just a little infrastructure development. This report has
looked at how much tourism contributes to GDP and how rapidly it is expanding. Without
ensuring adequate growth in the
sector, it can fall behind in contributing to the future of the national economy. A statistical
analysis reveals that the contribution is already substantial. However, it may make even more of
a difference by boosting jobs, increasing demand for lodging and food, enhancing transportation,
and promoting Bangladesh globally. This is a sizable segment of the overall economy. The
relationship between country branding and tourism is a useful topic for investigation.
