Unit 1: Come Let’s Spread “Salam” (Peace)


LESSON 1: “Assalāmo ‘alaykom” and “wa ‘alaykomos salām”

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson the students will be able to:
1. Develop listening skills through the use of taped dialogue on Muslim greetings,
“Assalāmo ‘alaykom” and “wa ‘alaykomos salām”.
2. Say: “Assalāmo ‘alaykom” and “wa ‘alaykomos salām” properly.
3. Differentiate ““Assalāmo ‘alaykom” from “wa ‘alaykomos salām”.
4. Appreciate the greetings: “Assalāmo ‘alaykom” and “wa ‘alaykomos salām”.
