Content of Synopsis

Synopsis should be arranged chapter wise only, with the headers as specified
below.
1. Introduction (Should not exceed 2 pages)
Explain the importance of the project:
- Write a brief (1 or 2 pages) intro of the project explaining its relevance and
importance.
1.1 Objective
- Briefly mention why this project, what exists now, what is required, and what
should be realized as end product.
- Mention briefly about: technology, models, processes, testing, expected
performance and limitations.
- Write about the usage and benefits.

2. Feasibility Study: (Should not exceed 2 page)


An analysis and evaluation of a proposed project to determine if it
(1) is technically feasible,
(2) Will be profitable.
(3) How this Project/Product/Software/research/study will be helpful
(4) Is feasible to conclude within the duration of your training period.
Feasibility studies are almost always conducted where large sums are at stake; cost
benefit analysis is also an important factor.

3. Methodology/ Planning of work (Should not exceed 2 page)


Methodology will include the steps to be followed to achieve the objective of the
Project during the project development.

4. Facilities/Components/Software required for proposed work


Software/Hardware required for the development of the project.
5. Bibliography
This should include the references list you are studying to complete the project.

SPECIFICATIONS FOR SYNOPSIS

1. The synopsis shall be computer typed (English- British, Font -Times Roman, Size-12
point) and printed on A4 size paper.
Font Size (Main Text)  12 Point
(Header)  14 Point Bold
(Sub header)  12 Point Bold

1. Digital Design can be classified as
1.1 Combinational Design
A Design in which output is function of input only is called as combinational
digital design. Mathematically, Output = F (Input) .
1.2 Sequential Design
A Design in which output is a function of input as well as state is called as
sequential design. Mathematically, Output = F (Input, State)
2. The Synopsis shall be typed on one side only with double space with a margin 1.25” on
the left, 1” on the top, and 1” on the right and 1” at the bottom. .
3. In the synopsis, the title page Refer sample sheet below should be given first. This should
be followed by index, notations/nomenclature.
4. The diagrams should be printed on a light/white background; Tabular matter should be
clearly arranged. Decimal point may be indicated by full stop (.)The caption for Figure
must be given at the BOTTOM of the Fig. and Caption for the Table must be given at the
TOP of the Table.
