Terminal Reimage process can be started through CMC (in case the device is online in CMC) by running

the following command through on the device you want to reimage:

cd C:DSP && CMOS_DebugApp.exe -bootrec (same command can be applied on the device directly
but would need to be ran from an elevated CMD)

After the device accepts the command and enteres the Terminal Reimage tool you may follow the steps
outlined from Step 4 below.

If the device is not online in CMC and you cannot guide the caller to access elevated CMD on the device
itsel, you can ask them to:

a. Connect a keyboard to the device

b. Shutdown or Reboot the device and as soon as the device starts to power on ask them to hold F9 on
the keyboard and continue holding it until the normal boot up process is interrupted and you are taken to
the Image Recovery Tool (constant hold is sufficiant, there is no need to constantly tap the button)

If all of the above are not applicable you may attempt the manual method as well:

1. Press and hold the recessed Image Recovery Button located next to the power button
2. While holding the Image Recovery Button, momentarily press the Power Switch.
3. Continue holding the Image Recovery Button until the NCR logo has flashed on the screen

4. Once the terminal loads the main screen:

5. Select Save or Load Image to get to the backup and recovery options.

Enter password: Recovery1234

6.

7. On the next screen you will be able to select to either save or load an image:
8. Select Load from HDD/SSD to apply the factory image and revert the Terminal to factory
settings:
