Revised compact HDD Replacement (Concise)

1. Sign off all open shifts and run EOD (Highly recommended) (No more signon on
MPos and trading on other Point Of Sales can commence except EFT).
2. Once namos EOD is done, stop namos on MPos.
3. Increment MPos last octet by 1 i.e. last octet + 1.
4. Create a folder on D:\ as "ZAPOSXXX01_YYYYMMDD" where backup files will
be copied to

Required files for backup:



3. Backup from SQLWB (namos & eSocket.Pos); CMOS, Ejournal, BBL, Param,
Binn, Postilion, Radiant, tss, ISISInterfaceLinkSettings.xml,backup.LMHOST, HOST,
POSDATA, Sites.csv

Chrologinal backup for both Namos and eSocket.Pos databases

SQL Management Studio Backup.


3.1.1.Click Start menu – Programs – Microsoft SQL Server 2005 – SQL Server
Management Studio.
3.1.2.Enter correct Pos 1 details
• Server type:
• Server name:
• Authentication:
Database Engine(Main Pos Computer name example - ZAPOS00701) Windows Authentication

3.1.3.Expand the Database folder on the left.
3.1.4.Right click on the Namos Database and select Tasks – Back Up.
3.1.5.Maximize back up window.
3.1.6.In the Destination field select Add.
3.1.7.Select destination folder as one created on D: drive.
3.1.8.Name backup file Namos.bak (Remember to include file extension when naming
file.
3.1.9.Select OK.
• 3.1.10. Select OK to start backup.
• 3.1.11. If error appears for invalid destination remove the first
entry in the destinations field which is for a location on the C: drive as this in
an invalid folder.
• 3.1.12. After backup is complete close backup window.
• 3.1.13. Right click on ESocketpos Database and select Tasks – Backup

Follow steps 3.1.5 to 3.1.12 naming backup as ESocketpos.bak.

4. Copy the entire folder ”ZAPOSXXX01_YYYYMMDD" to Pos2 d:\ (For a single


partition drive).
5. Disconnect d:\ & connect to the new beetle (For two unpartitioned
drives).
6. Change new HDD/SSD ip last octet. It must be one more higher i.e.
10.114.165.243 to 10.114.165.244
7. Run za file creator (Point Of sale will reboot).
8. Kill namos. Go to C:\sni\namos\param) edit SYS_PROCS with notepad and
hash out "fdccntrl & TagServ”.
9. Copy “namos license” to d:\temp & execute.
10. Upgrade namos to the latest software version (Copy
HOTFIX_TOTAL_ZA.7.16.TOTAL.28.ZA.1.UPD. to C:\sni\namos\NM_UPD\New)
11. Start POS WDM background. MPos will upgrade and reboot.
12. Hash-out "fdccntrl & TagServ” of the restaged machine from C:\sni\
namos\param\SYS_PROCS.
13. Change new SSD/HDDHDD ip last octet to one more higher i.e.
10.114.165.243 to 10.114.165.244.
14. From SQLWB, expand Publications, delete replication, then detach namos.
15. Stop SQLServer services from command line (services.msc) then delete
namos.LDF & namos.MDF from the root (C:\sni\namos\sql\data).
16. Delete new OS drive CMOS*.* contents (Backup them somewhere).
17. Delete eSocket.Pos or executed EFTRepair script from (C:\Program
Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\(MSSQL\Data\eSocketpos.mdf & eSocketpos_log_LDF)
the later being the most effective process.
18. Restore from SQLWB (Namos & eSocket.Pos databases).
19. Restore CMOS*.* contents to the root (C:\sni\namos\CMOS).
20. Restore “Journal” to the root (C:\sni\namos).
21. Restore “BBL” to the root (C:\).
22. Restore LA*.* to C\SNI\NAMOS\Binn\LA
23. Restore “SYS_PROCS, SYS_CONF, TOTAL_FTP_CONFIG.XML” to the root (C:\
sni\namos\Param).
24. Restore “Backup & ISISInterfacelinksettings” to the root (C\program
files\ISISInterfacelink).
25. Restore/Copy “*.*.cdb & .dat” to the root “ (C\program files\
ISISInterfacelink). The files are iilFileRules.cdb, iilProductsNew.cdb,
iilProductsOld.cdb, iilSites.cdb and Versions.dat
26. Restore/Copy HOST & LMHOST to c:\windows\system32]drivers\etc.
27. Restore/Copy SYS_PROCS.TXT, SYS_CONF.TXT & TOTAL_FTP_CONFIG.XML. Hash
out "fdccntrl & TagServ” again.
28. Restore/Copy config to C:\TSS (Delete image config, sys & log )

Verification of shifts
1. navigateN to c:\SNI \Namos\CMOS
2. Scroll down to the latest TAP.THP file checking date on the file.
3. Open the file with notepad and scroll all the way down on the file.
4. Look for the following abbreviations for the latest shift number. (Tip
Number is usually double on the line)

5. To Make sure Open Managers Workstation and go to system functions –


Change EOD Number and Check Shift Number for POS 1.

6. Go to FSM and send latest/current fuel prices from MWS so that they are
available/copied on to namos DB rather than fdc (Fixes fuel prices on namos EOD
report i.e. DSP & timestamp on the repot)
7. Start ISISIntfaceLink services (services.msc from command line).
8. Verify TIC files are being generated from the root (C:\Radiant\Export\
Xchg).
9. Remove, Run latest EFTRepair
10. Build Namos Configuration. Select “Load current” Acknowledge the “Load
current configuration” pop-up. Under the “Country Options” tab in the BOS/POS
configuration Window, enter the BOS computer name in the “FTP-server” block, in the
“Username” block enter NM_Admin AND in the “Export-path” block enter localhost

11. When done with the above click “Save current” and acknowledge the
“Change current configuration “ pop-up by clicking on “YES” Wait for Configuration
to replicate to all online POS systems and close. Click on OK and select YES.
12. On a 64bit site edit the DOMS section of the HOST and LMHOST, with the
relevant IP address for the DOMS PSS5000 controller. Replicate this to all the WDM
POS systems.
13. Start Namos WDM Background while in Admin mode. Navigate to MWS User
rights and Change “Final EOD” for profile 1 to 7 from “All allowed” to “Disabled”.
Remember to save the changes after every profile change.

Go to registry setting and change the following:

Printer is online (MPos)

CONSNT error fix

1. Make MPos ip higher (last octet).


2. Backup CMOS folder to D:/Temp.
3. Restore from MWS latest “BACKUP”.
4. Restore/copy EJ*.*, TAL*.THL, TAP*.THP, TAV*.THV to C:\SNI\NAMOS\CMOS
backed up from step 2.
5. Start POS WDM background and change MPos IP back to its original state
(last octet).

If MPos time zone default to 2008, then only Restore a Backup before the issue
emerged but don’t restore
TAL*.*,TAP*.*, TAV*.* (CMOS contents)

From command line on MPos type “updatetexts -txt”

Namos Reports

Automatic printing of the following reports:


1. Cumulative Variance report.
2. Pump meter readings report.
3. Fuel stock book report after DEOD process performed successfully.
The following need to be deployed:
Set the registry key:HKLM\Software\Wincor Nixdorf\NAMOS\WSRReportPrint set with
value 1 (instead of current 0).
Restart Namos services after registry change.
For Namos EODEODReportPrint change value from 10111 to 00111 after MPos Restage

Backup and Restore

If you run “Backup & Restore” process but for some reasons, you accidentally close
MWS, ran “initload -refresh” then start POS WDM background, logon to MWS again
and restore.

Restage important tips:


Site with 2xHDDs/SSDs - Always ensure temp folder is created on D:\ otherwise ZA
file creator will not run.

5. Create a folder on D:\ as ZAPOS12001_20161202 (site specific)
After that then:

1) Copy site.csv file from the back to C:\TSA-Installation\Tools\Install\


ZA_File_Creator\
2) Executed ZA_File_Creator.exe (Populate site details, SXX) (Pos will
reboot). Dismiss activation code.
3) Change MPos ip to one higher again. e.g. 10.114.212.243 to
10.114.212.244.
4) Hash-out "fdccntrl & TagServ of the restage machine from C:\sni\namos\
param\SYS_PROCS
5) Restore/copy active "config" from WDM Master to C:\TSS. Delete logs &
Sys.
6) Install com port drivers & assign accordingly.
7) Copy namos license to D:\temp & execute (Retail NLBS/Compact SOC)
8) Execute Install v3.0.bat (D:\ZAPOS37501_20160518\ISIS_RegistrySettings
v3.0)
9) Copy last successful backup from backup folder "ZAPOS37501_20160518" to
D:\POSDATA\NAMOS\BACKUP\
10) Start POS background, WDM & logon to MWS
11) Navigate to System Functions, Restore, <restore because of new disk &

20) Go to FSM, Grade/Mode Assignment and assign/match products.
21) Go to control panel (Printer & Faxes)select brother printer as a default
& must be online.
22) Allow cashier to singon and observe if shift appears on MWS, & signoff
and ensure it drops (Done if thats the case)
23) Install Remoteware (installrw.exe) from C:\TSA-Installation\Tools\
Install\Remoteware\
24) Install IMS (ImsClient.msi) from C:\TSA-Installation\IMS-Installation\
25) Install UPS (installupsman.exe.md5) from D:\GoldBuild_2015\Goldbuild_POS\

Loading of BOS
1. Format HDD (Diskpart)
2. Load image (F12 for one time boot)
3. Plug network cable & join domain using master.
4. Change password from (manage) users to VnVpCnPh287
If account is disabled, logon with “Master” then right click on "Computer" go to
manage, Local users and groups, expand it then users. Right click on
"Administrator" then properties. Uncheck “disable”.
5. Logoff master & logon with (administrator and VnVpCnPh287)
6. Unplug network cable to install software. Right click on “cmd” & run as
administrator. Then type F: \ PostInstall \ Installation.HTA " and confirm (15Min)
7. Reconnect LAN cable. Go to f:\Postinstall\Echange_installer_v1.0.bat
right click & run as administrator. Will install SQLCE, BatchHHT Software
8. Copy back site data
9. Launch internet explorer, go to Internet Options, Select the Security
Tab, Click on “local intranet”, sites, advanced and add the following URL
http://www.total.com; za.isis.total .com, Uncheck “Require server verification” and
Click On the Add button.
10. Uncheck radio button under “Require server verification (https:) for
all sites in this zone” then close, ok
11. Select Trusted Sites & ensure “Download Signed ActiveX Control” is
enabled. Restart IE , add the following URL if they do not appear;
http://www.total.com; za.isis.total .com, Uncheck “Require server verification” and
Click On the Add button.
12. and set home page as default(za.isis.total .com) or if prompted to
restart, you must soft restart pc. VERY IMPORTANT

21. On the top search box, in the middle, enter “Dow”, Select “ View
Download Log”
22. In the Export log, « Awaiting Site Connection », will appear. RSL
Configuration Download and Full Download » status must change to Green with
“Success – Site Acknowledged”.
NB : To speed up the process, Click on the Blue Cube icon on the task bar to
initiate the immediate connection to the Enterprise Server
28. Export is complete once you get the Green Lights

User Profile Setup

DEOD failing on MKW Report

1. Logon with launcer (MPos)


2. type “sqledit”
3. Go to BOSEXT database
4. Type “select * from eod22” then execute” (Ensure under both eodn02 and
xx columns both values match line by line) go all way to the end.
5. If step 4 do not match then correct it
6. Ensure those changes match with eod20 as well then run DEOD
EOD failing on EKW Report

1. Check on trace files (dayEnd)


2. Go to sqledit
3. Type “select * from eod00” then enter, ensure `eodno value =
mandate_eodno
4. Type “select * from eod20” then enter. if eodno value = mandate_eodno
but differs with one on step 3, then match it to eod00
