Download and Install Java 16 Version

Use the following steps to download and install Java 16 Version on Windows

Open the following URL in any browser

https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/javase-jdk16-downloads.html

which displays the following screen in the browser

Accept the license and Click on the button “Download jdk-16.0.1_windows-x64_bin.exe


to download
Click on the downloaded file “jdk-16.0.1_windows-x64_bin.exe “ to install Java 16 on
windows operating system

Follow the below screens to install Java on your machine

Click Next in the above screen


By default Java will be installed in C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-16.0.1 folder. To install in
some other folder you can click on Change button in the above screen

Click Next in the above screen.

Click Close to complete the Java Installation


Setting path permanently

Set the path to “C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-16.0.1\bin” in Environment Variables as


follows

Open Windows Explorer

Right Click on This PC Properties

In the below screen click on Advanced system settings


Click on Environment Variables
In the above screen select Path in System Variables and Click Edit

Click on New in the above screen and paste “C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-16.0.1\bin”

and click OK.

Click Ok to complete Environment variable setup.
