iii) A godown measures 40 m × 25 m × 10 m. Find the maximum number of wooden
crates each measuring 1.5 m × 1.25 m × 0.5 m which can be stored in the godown.

i. An open rectangular cistern when measured from the outside is 1.35 m long, 1.08 m
broad and 90 cm deep. It is made of iron which is 2.5 cm thick. Find the capacity of the
cistern and the volume of the iron used. [3]
ii. Using the distance formula, show that the points (1, –1), (5, 2) and (9, 5) are collinear.[3]
iii. Draw the graphs of the equations x – y + 1 = 0 and 3x + 2y – 12 = 0. Determine the
co- ordinates of the vertices of the triangle formed by these lines and the x-axis, and
shade the triangular region. [4]
